Okay, I finished watching the playthrough. Starts off pretty nice but gets dull as the game progresses. The whole “guilt of killing people” and showing Ryu’s “human side” is so cheesy it’s painful to watch. Then you get those segments in which his arm goes crazy. Okay, so you’re flying all over the screen and killing left and right. Then it happens. The combat slows to a crawl. Enemies no longer put up a fight. You drag Ryu around and OHKO everything in sight. From what I’ve seen, all the katanas are the same. The boss fights don’t seem as fun as before. It has some nice presentation though.

I knew before the game was released that it was going to be butchered. Actually I knew it from the very first gameplay video, when you see quick time events in a Ninja Gaiden game that means its over.
Fighting Alma was hell but felt good when you finally beat her.
Yeah the flails were my overall favorite weapon. If they aren’t in the game, as well as big boobs and huge demons, count me out. I will bargain bin it way later.

Ninja Gaiden just got 3 out of 10 on IGN. I know reviews don’t matter but that is a big sign a game is bad.

Honestly I was never going to pick up NG3 but 3.0 is a little strong, was he overreacting? Guess we won’t know till someone here buys the game.
A 3/10? Hold dat shit Team Ninja. I’m gonna pick up Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 & 2 sometime today.
What I don’t understand is how a game can get worse with Itagaki leaving. I was under the impression he was ruining the franchise, guess I was wrong. Does anyone know if team Ninja was unchanged? Or did some members leave with him?

Its heartbreaking to see the game industry destroy itself trying to appeal to the casual market.
I think it should be bumped up to 5/10. 3/10 borderlines on unplayable and NG3 is certainly playable. Still it’s sad to see this sequel not live up to any Ninja Gaiden game ever.

I heard that the story was written by the writer of the first two games. I would play through this for that reason just to see how it turns out but I’ll wait for later till this game is $30 or under
The story is pure ass. It’s worse than the stories from the previous games.

Damn, this is troubling. I had a pre order on NG3 but now me and my wallet are having doubts. I guess nobody here has it early and can give some impressions? I loved NGB and really liked NG2, so I really want this game to at least be decent.
Something tells me this game will get an updated version down the line. Most updated versions go through considerable changes so who knows, maybe the hardcore edition will be released next year?
