Eli makes really dumb decisions sometimes and then other times you see a throw that is other worldly
Eli’s stats are a bit skewed thanks to the offense he played in. It was a deep threat attack that promoted risk taking so ints were always high. It relied a lot on WR-QB synergy and silent communication with option routes. It also required a ridiculously good o line to even function. Not many qbs could even run that offense (i could see big ben, flacco, stafford, and bradford running it) and was incredibly reliant on risky throws. Thats why you got a lot more of good eli/bad eli. As you see with the west coast offense there has been almsot entirely good eli and thats cause the west coast offense is more about keeping routes simpler and using quicker reads. It’s basically go through your options and hit the first guy open. It’s a much less risky offense to run and doesnt require a ridiculous oline like gilbrides offense did.
When eli was on in gilbrides offense, there was no stopping it. When he was off, well, lets just say i probably could have gotten a few ints.
He is slightly overrated but there are very few qbs who have been as consistently good as eli has for the past few years. These past teams have been awful and now they finally have decent talent everywhere this year so lets hope for the best
I have to disagree. Overall hes an above average quarterback and there is nothing ‘lucky’ about his post season statistics. You can say all you want but even if you eek into the playoffs, I would rather be known as that guy that was amazing in the post season vs the one who chokes. That was Peyton’s MO. And Peyton is my favourite QB of all time.
Eli has been good top 10 for sure. The main thing with Eli is just get him to the playoffs. After that if he goes to the conference game he is basically a win at the bowl. It also helps he shutdown Brady from having 6 rings. People should be appreciative of him for THAT alone
i have a close friend who is a giants fan, and he is always saying eli is elite…i dont know man, i understand he is amazing in the playoffs, but holy shit that man is the definition of 2-face, you can never trust him in the regular season.
So you start 3-0 with Wentz and now you can talk like Eli is fucking average. GTFO Homie.
Eli is a top 12 QB currently like it or not and Wentz for obvious reasons isn’t. A guy like Rivers ain’t done shit but still a top 12 QB. There are guys like my own Brad Johnson to win a SB doesn’t mean anything cause he sucked period. Eli isn’t elite nope(top10) but watch him play watch his post game loss and win. He is the definition of franchise QB. People mix that up with being in a great spot like Brady.
Guys like Stafford/Cutler/or my personal ranked 32nd starting QB Tannehill are below average QB’s who become franchise cause those teams are scared its going somehow get worse if they let them go.
You Eagles fans starting to makes the Cowboys fans fucking look sane. Your 3-0 not 13-0 ( 2 at home I might add and 2 still VERY bad teams but you beat the fucking Steelers at home and now your hoisting a Lombardi). The key for Wentz and all young QB’s is how he handles losing and a bad game which has yet to be seen.
Come on I have a BETTER young QB but still know he isn’t a for sure thing, I get the excitement on a equal personal level of crappy team bases but even if Tampa was 3-0 I wouldn’t be the way you Eagles fans are half fucking delusional no offense but when your team ring less I guess you cant help but get over zerlous at just 18% of a season.

But lets all be honest them EDP videos gonna be next level godlike weeks 10+ one way or another**
At what point did I ever state that Wentz was better than Eli?
EDIT: ON TOP of that I didn’t say Eli was average. If you could read worth a damn, I said his average ceiling is of a solid QB. As in how he normally performs.
The division is weak enough they can probably still make playoffs. JJ is 8-12 weeks, so he might play in the playoffs and possibly the last couple of games of the season. Along with Brian Cushing it’s a huge loss and you need to blame the coaching staff for rushing him back out and not limiting his snap count more
