Brock played well vs. the Raiders. The Raiders defence got shredded for 27 points. Yeah, they were missing a lot on offence and ended up scoring their lone touchdown because the Texans decided to bend not break to kill the clock and play keepaway but by half-time the Texans offence had already buried the Raiders’ D. There was one play in particular that stuck out to me which you saw all day where Khalil Mack went for the power rush on Duane Brown and Duane just dug his feet in and denied him. Mack is a beast but Duane Brown when he’s healthy is one hell of a left-tackle. He’s the only bright spot on that entire OLine.

and no one is suprised. Raiders defense has been a shit show all year. Dunno what your elated about considering the texans are going to be executed live.

Texans offence has been a shit show all year and being one of eight teams left after losing Watt, Johnson, Nick Martin, two receivers, a starting outside linebacker etc. Etc. For the season is a pretty big deal

Who cares if he played well? He sucks and is the most overpaid backup in the NFL. Raiders defense isn’t what has been winning them games, it’s their offense that averages around like 30 points a game or so. Texans are going to get SMASHED by the Patriots tomorrow. That is the only game this weekend that won’t be competitive.

It wasn’t real. The whole morality of the team was in the sewer as soon as Carr got hurt.

…and the Texans strength is a defence that was missing JJ Watt, Kevin Johnson and John Simon.

If you’re going to use that logic the whole Houston season wasn’t real because it was missing the 3 time defensive player of the year, JJ Watt. Still beat KC, still beat Detroit, still won a playoff game, would have beat the Raiders in Mexico City with Carr if not for laser pointers and bad spots.

Cowboys in the Super Bowl= drink every time the game cuts to Jerry Jones in the owner’s box (or wherever he decides to levitate/teleport to)

Sounds like a good idea, i dont wanna live in a world where the cowboys win another sb anyways.

What is your point about the Texans defense? I didn’t even bring up the defense.

You said the Raiders strength was the offence which was missing Carr. Well Houston’s strength is the defence which has been missing Watt.

Are you really trying to say that Watt is as important to the Texans, who have Clowney on the other side of him and he is still playing, as Derrick Carr is to the Raiders?

Did you also forget that the Texans went against a Raiders offense with a 3rd string quarterback who had never started an NFL game in his entire life until last Saturday? Are you surprised that a 3rd stringer who’s never started had trouble moving the ball? Houston’s defense is in the top 1/3 of the NFL even with JJ Watt out.

Let’s be real dude…

Well considering that with Watt missing it has made it a bit more difficult for Merciless to get sacks this year he was the biggest beneficiary of it. I mean with Watt it created more matchup problems up front but more importantly pressuring the QB in which this season was something they struggled to get.

So unless you watch Texans game it’s not something people care to look at.

With that being said I see very little hope against the Pats especially since O’Brien has shown to shrink when he faces BB. Given that the offense play calling makes it even easier for teams to game plan against I just don’t see a positive unless turnovers a plenty happen and Brady has shown that shit ain’t happening.

Watt being out compared to Carr is not the same
The Texans have had most of the year to think about it
They played about to where they are
They are a middle of the road team that played in a mostly forgettable division this year and now all they are afforded is the opportunity to get mollywhopped by the patriots

The raiders with Carr had AFC championship aspirations showing by their play throughout the year and maybe even had a punchers chance with that offense to make the Super Bowl.
Carr going out was a deathblow

Plus if we are just gong by position carrs the quaterback
Watts a de

The Texans are also in a shitty division. They won their division at 9-7. Not to diminish their division title, but they simply aren’t that good of a team. It’s similar to the Redskins getting in last year at 9-7 due to their shitty division then getting molly whopped in the first round against a team that was actually good. Only this time the Texans faced a team that was leaning on a 3rd stringer QB who has absolutely no experience.

Raiders never stood a chance at making the AFC championship game even with Carr healthy. Given that the Raider defense struggled against any offense that had a decent TE that secondary was going to be the downfall. Plus the fact that the Chiefs owned them hard in both meet ups showed they are maybe a year away from being seen as SB contending team.

@FrostyAU breh come on now this playoff game was what the Texans were supposed to do and handle a team with an inexperienced QB, I’m in the same boat as everyone else in that this game is the least attractive of the bunch.

Steelers-Chiefs moved to Sunday night cause weather.

Does anyone know if the Titans or Texans have substantial changes coming in the offseason? I thought Tennessee had upset potential for the postseason if they had made it until Mariota got hurt.

I’ve heard the Texans and Bill O’Brien are on shaky terms so you could see them part ways.
