I haven’t delved too deep yet into it, but here’s what I’m assuming:
I’ll already have the roles generated a day before the game starts. I will give RF his role a day early, kind of like what we do with the recruit roles. However, if he picks a mafia, I will inform him that they are mafia and have him pick again.
If that’s too convoluted, I may have him have a one-time use role where he can investigate at any time.
Hmmm… problem with that is that Fuzz (I’ll call the role Fuzz and the player Fluff from now on in order to avoid confusion for myself) can’t try and ‘read’ people pre-game to determine which player to investigate, so it’s just a lucky guess. Mechanic still works as a lucky guess, but trying to figure out the players seems like more fun. Maybe make it a ‘Night 1 Use Only’ ability?

Well fuzz is mafia, so he doesn’t really learn anything in advance if he hits a mafia. You might as well feed him a list of who mafia is so you don’t have this weird back and forth.
As for pre-game reading, he’s making his decision before anybody knows their role, so there’s nothing to give away.
So @Icege, any E.T.A. on when the sign-up thread will go up? I sure as shit don’t want to be inb4’d by everyone else signing up and filling in all the slots.
30 players is what I’m thinking. Has everyone had enough time off from the last game? I’ll start putting together the sign up this weekend and should have it up no later than Wednesday
Unfortunately, I think I will abstain. The last game really took a toll on my mental health, so I’ve decided that playing mafia during school isn’t good. I think I can join PW’s game because it’ll be during winter break, I’m assuming.
