Awesome looking with great packaging, but the start button placement is kinda annoying for me. I just tend to press on it by accident from time to time.
i picked the Chun Li one up if only because I never get SF#1 with the holo cover lol. Nice that the box has it - well part of it.
This controller isn’t very form fitting - it’s not comfortable to grip, i actually end up only gripping it with the pad side and the button side i hover my fingers over it - what can i say, i’m used to not just using a thumb, i want a damn arcade stick someday when i can afford it.
of course holding the controller this way results in my thumb getting “NES” disease after an hour - i swear my fingernail was going to pull off the flesh.
on the other hand, my button memory is coming back and the 6-button config is really necessary, so i like this controller just for that reason.
all in all for the money not a bad purchase.
the first series has been reduced to $14.99 at Gamestop
Thanks for the heads up, Taichi. By the way, I remember someone mentioning that the Akuma controllers were no longer going to be just Blockbuster exclusive. I checked on Gamestop.com and could not find them there. Anyone know where else they are available? Hopefully not just Blockbuster because I believe they are $25 there. -Kent
not sure about that one, I have the Ryu one (though I like the colors on the Chun Li one better), not sure about Akuma…
personally, I like it cuz it feels like a Sega 6-Button Genesis controller, and I’m all about the oldschool…
sure, eventually I’m gonna build a stick, but until I can, the pad will do…
