NEW TN Thread: MWC EVO Quals, Bawse Battles, GG, T&G .. Most Known Unknowns

That trailer… just, dear God. Nicely done, Dax.

Makes me even more salty that I might miss it.

really hype KoF stream from Mexico http://www.twitch.tv/team_ds

That’s the reason i decided to exclude your name on the trailer since you said you were not coming.

Nah, it’s cool. I’d say more people know Boomcube than me anyway, and he’s strong in the games people actually play. lol

I’m still devising ways to try to make it. My sister told me to go to Memphis, but a lot of my family will be at the graduation asking, “Where the hell is Lee?! He missed your graduation?” Plus I might have a guilty conscience later on… lmao

On the upside you cam try to win some games on her behalf as a graduation gift lol

GG to Josh. :expressionless:

Still makes me laugh the commentators got his name wrong. “SHINJIN TAKES IT! SHINJIN TAKES IT!”

this isn’t to be mean or anything this is real advise

  1. Stop Jumping
  2. Stop Jumping
  3. STOP JUMPING
  4. Learn just some basic cammy bnb combos just something something like mk to drill for punishes or s.hp to DP. just to get a feel for canceling into specials. Then move on to something like c.jab c.jab c.mp drill for an easy bnb
5.work on some real block strings something like c.jab c.lk c.c.jab. Throw some tick throws in there(tick throw=stopping a block string and doing a throw) once you throw them a couple times mix it up do the above block string act like your going to throw again then do a c.mp or your block string again you may get a counter hit!
  5. learn to react to jumps with your dragon punch just set the dummy to jump at you and anti air them just to get a feel for it. Cammy can also AA with s.hp its really good.

That’s it for now just some basics remember playing a lot of matches is really good, but you won’t get better without using training mode. What’s the point if you play lots of matches but you’ve never learned your characters bnbs combos you won’t ever get any real damage on them. Remember fighting games are hard work and take a long time to get good at I’ve been playing awhile I may look impressive to your friends but I’ve got a ways to go(sticking to a main would help lol). Just like anything from sports to drawing you want to be good at something you got to practice a lot. Seriously learn that bnb combo for cammy then do it 100x on each side of the screen just so you know you will never miss it that’s an example of some the things I’ve done. Winning takes more than combos though its mostly reading and reacting to your opponent but for now let’s get you hitting some combos!

Thanks, I really appreciate the advice. I’ve been looking for someone to tell me specific things after a match.

I do training mode when I have time, and I do the trials over and over. But I don’t seem to be improving. /:

@Brinson

What Josh said and then some. I’ve played Cammy since Vanilla so ive been around the block, If spaced right S HK can AA too. S HK is your best friend if you go against a grappler because doing cannon drills is just asking to get command grabbed. And imo her main BnB is cr short, cr jab, cr strong to HK arrow. It does good damage and sets up her Oki game. Along with tick throws also throw in some tiger knee EX cannon strikes to rly make people fear touching buttons. But yes this game is not all about combos it’s exactly what Josh says. If you want to get some games with me just hmu. And ask justin stuff too since he plays Cammy.

Justin is free! Don’t ask that nigga anything! Lol

Also, use the SRK forum. Go to the Cammy subforum, look for the Combo thread and see what you can pick up from the OP. Usually all combos worth doing are noted in the OP. Trials more often than not do not give you practical optimized combos.

One more thing, being able to do a move or combo in training mode doesn’t mean anything. It’s being able to do it under pressure in a real match that counts. HOWEVER, training mode is also great for building muscle memory. I used to do sets of my characters bnb on each side. I would do ten in a row, then change sides. I would start back from one if I messed up once before ten.

Damn nigga LOL!

I think that’s where I stumble. In training mode and on the trials I have no problem but when an actual match starts I go complete retard mode and forget everything ive been working on. I can execute combos in training but when that match comes around its like "hurr durr helloh miah nayme iz muratul"
I think it’s the pressure of a fight that makes me crack, that’s why I try to get out to T&G and get that environment. Bottom line, I don’t do well under pressure… -_-
We’re going to try to get out to t&G Wednesday to get some more practice in, but I have to work, so we’ll play that one by ear.

For me, just trying to practice combos neutrally doesn’t help that much. I’ll at least set the computer to fight me and just practice the combo on the fly as a punish or on reaction/off a hit confirm.

Uhh…when is that Brinsons fight night thing again? And where? I’m planning on coming to it cause…well since im a graduated senior I have nothing else to do so.

Watched The Big Lebowski again last night for the 2492489283 time, it just gets funnier every time you watch it.

what happens if you watch it back to back with office space

do it
for science

Netflix actually tried to make me do that, during the credit sequence it said YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE: Officespace

Probably would have but I fell asleep lol
