Anyone interested in some casuals on Mon-Wed this week? I can host, and live at 43rd & Spruce, about halfway between Zack’s & UP. Got T6 & SF4 on PS3 + two sticks.
i am
I’m thinking of holding a session Wednesday Pete. I’ll confirm tomorrow.
Okay, I’ll host if you won’t be able to. Otherwise we can session it up on Wed chez la maison de katterman.
i’m down for a wed session
I can bring a PS3 + SFIV, T6, and one TE, 2 ps3 pads
How’s the parking situation down by there? I’d be down for games and I can bring my shit but if there’s no parking then obviously I won’t be able to go.
I can only imagine the Thunderdome-like situation with all the traffic cone/folding chair/trash can/bbq grill/Mexican as parking spot holders. :wtf:
Not if you’re already married!
Right now there’s lots of snow on the sides of the street, making street parking a bit difficult but it should be better by Wed evening.
Double-post?? SRK forum trickery…
Yeah, parking for UP sucks, usually we parked in front of the pizza shop, and so far, nothing happened, as far as tickets go, but hopefully, it’s all better soon.
snow snow go away
quick question here for the tech-knowledgeable guys. i play sf4 online on ps3 and basically the lag is horrendous and i’m just sick of it. right now i have an old-ass belkin 6002 router and usually along with my ps3, i have my comp, my brothers comp, and his blackberry all using the network together. the bottom line is that if i get a better router, will i see improvement in the online gaming? i asked a couple best buy employees and they all said that a new router would benefit me but i don’t really trust those guys. i was looking at something like the netgear rangemax n router but honestly i’m retarded when it comes to these things and have no idea. guys, pls give me some advice. also any router recommendations? thx.
Are you using wireless? If so, that’s one issue. Also, if you have all 4 devices using the connection at the same time…that will cause lag as well. A new router won’t help.
SF4 for iphone… that’s random lol.
what do u mean by wireless? i know my ps3 uses a wired connection.
The Tech God Has Spoken
If your ps3 is setup on a wired connection, that’s a good start.
Since the psn netcode is trash, it’s hard to determine what is you and what is network that is causing the lag. Your best option is to setup your ps3 and router as a DMZ (google it on how to set it up). This will basically open all of your ports on the router for the ps3’s IP address and ensure that it has priority over any other connection on the router.
Something else to keep in mind, if the other devices are using the Internet for anything more than surfing the web (downloading, watching videos, etc), it will cause your connection to be bogged down and will def cause online lag.
thx so much for the advice spek. i’ll try and do that dmz thing and see how it goes. it’s gotten so bad that i might just ditch the dsl and go with fios.
Sup Philly coming back home this weekend. Gotta show Br.Chaos how to engineer a shoto train.
