Well, now that it’s common knowledge AE DLC will be arcade perfect we can stop speculation. It just so has it that UP just got in 4 sit down cabinets for AE!! They are the same cabinet brand that they had in Chinatown Fair which are now at Next Level. With perfect cabinets available, let’s start getting ahead of the game before the console release. Step your shit up Philly.
Eh. 29 people played Marvel last night at 8otb, they couldn’t even get 8 people to sign up for AE.
AE’s a really broken game. I’d rather play vanilla than deal with Yun/Yang without counterpicking them.
8otb’s AE setup is a bootleg and laggy, from what I hear. I haven’t been to 8otb in forever so I haven’t tried it myself, but back when they had a bootleg T6:BR setup it had a laggy-ass big Dynex LCD screen, so I would expect something similar for their AE. I wouldn’t sign up for a tournament on a laggy setup no matter how much I like the game. I’ll test out the new AE cabs at UP as soon as they get them up & running.
I personally think AE is the best version of SF4 - Yun might be overpowered but it takes quite a bit of execution to be good with him. Nothing like Vanilla Sagat/Ryu - maybe more like Vanilla Akuma. Yang’s good but no better than Fei/Makoto.
