So far from what ive seen it looks about as Clunky as SvC did, infact it looks almost exactly like SvC. But how good it is has yet to be deteremined.
Yeah I feel the same way. I just am not seeing in this game whatever other people are seeing. Every clip makes the game look so boring, despite the great cast.

Yes, Orochi already did the “tenjou tenge” Buddha pose (pointing at heaven and earth at the same time) in 97. Its got NOTHING to do with the manga or (shitty-ass) anime. Not only KOF97 came first, but… Buddha also kinda came first.

Yeah you are right, and I like the music so far. The BGM for the Mr. Big, and Lee showcase videos is what I like most right now.
I thought that as well, when the very first NGBC videos emerged. Yet as more became available, I noticed a significant difference, as the gameplay/engine doesn’t seem floaty or clunky.
Not as tight or just right as KOF 2k2 but not an SVC imo, and it doesnt seem like KOF 2k3 to me either.
And plus, every video we see if its not a character move showcase vid, its always no skill level vs matches.
I bet the game would look a lot better if they had their top testers playing each other.
Oh, and I love the zoom effect. SNK got it just right this time for this game.
Well a quick update for those who don’t know NeoGeo Battle Coliseum will be release in Japan 27 July(check the magic box.com). I wonder how soon we will see it in the States.

NeoWave took about one full year after the arcade release (its being released this month for PS2 in Japan), which is the standard for SNK games.

Don’t know about Orochi, but Ryo in this game is the older Ryo that has taken the identity of Mr. Karate. Seen in Buriki One and Fatal Fury Wild Ambition, it is supposed to be Ryo’s real age since the AOF series took place years before the FF series.
And Mizuchi is not the real Orochi. Its a WAREZ clone or something.
There’s an organization called WAREZ that clone people? That’s hilarious.
All I know is that just like with half of the kof games and svc, we’re gonna be seeing some wild, fucked-up combos and shit once the Mook DVD drops.
