Yeah, I’m surprised at Dan and some of the other characters that are getting unique buffs; Dee Jay Super cancel into Ultra, Juri getting a lot of new stuff, Hakan has some interesting new mobility options… Only things I’m not sure about are the slight Akuma nerfs and Cody buffs - Cody was a cheap fuck in the first place if you ask me. But hey, I play Ken, so I’m just still pissed they didn’t improve U2. Like the changes overall, though.

I’m pleased with the Juri changes. The invincibilty on Pinwheel makes it much safer to use it as a “get off me” move where before she only had taunt parry for those situations. Her Fireball kick damage increase and cl.MK change weren’t ones I’d have asked for but I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
Everything else is U1 specific, which makes it even more important that I get off my lazy ass and work on not sucking with it.
Hakan’s start of round oil is a much needed change. Glad he got it.

Cody, Cheap, lol! He has no defense whatsoever. I can smash people with him, but when I get knocked down once, it’s pretty much GAME OVER. His buffs were needed. I’m still mad as hell that they didn’t give his EX Zonk an autocorrect feature like every other GD Shoryuken in the game.

You’re seeing this from the perspective of a *good *player. I’m terrible, and everything I ever throw out against a Cody gets stuffed. Normals? Stuffed. Specials? Stuffed. Ultras and shit I otherwise thought was invincible on start-up? You get the idea. Cody’s defense does not figure into the equation for me. In fact, I’m pretty sure Cody’s *offense *is his defense.
Doesn’t matter, though; I am STOKED for TNW tomorrow. I might try and get my unborn in there - never too early!

For everyone who lives in Albuquerque you probably know about a place called Active Imagination. They’re a boardgame/MTG/D&D kinda shop. And before I get accused of it, ya I’m part of it.
Anyway… our current place is located in an old movie theater and as such we like to play fighters on the theater screen.

BB:CS2 meet-up on Monday 8/29 roughly 6pm.
Last I checked there weren’t enough players to host tournaments for Blazblue so we thought we’d give a shout out to anyone who’s interested to come down and challenge some other players. I know I’m sick of playing the same 4 guys, and I’m sure there’s more of us.
Confession. This monday we’ve really only got two machines and two screens. We get more for tournaments but I wanted to gauge the size of the BB community and this is short notice.

BYOC if ya like, we’ll have both the PS3 and the XBOX there but I don’t know what we’ll be playing. I’ve got no problem with arcade sticks, just remember that you should have a long cord or have wireless (ick). Because we play on a projector, the console needs to be at the top of the theater.
