New Mexico, ABQ

two glorious dollars (which funded the delicious 40 i drank that night that i may have otherwise been unable to afford)

assuming my financial aid monies come through, i’d be willing to do a 10-20$ match with you in CvS2, lets say first to 10?

one stipulation, that it has to be on sean’s cab, i don’t want any inpure pigfat disgusting consoles ports to ruin the beauty and purity of this fight.

Definitely down.

Where are you from?

i hear someone from new mexico is going to place at evo this year :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I noticed Daigo (who was taking notes) and asked what was going on. In broken English, he whispered 2 words: “Black Mamba”.

Hey guys i’m doing a tournament for Jon sakukra’s new gamers anonymous store on the west side this saturday. Be cool to see some of you there!! Login | Facebook

Where is the new store anyway? (Can’t view the link because I don’t have facebook).

Edit - Also thought I’d let people know that games are probably happening at Neil’s tomorrow. Paul Brady aka Alpha Mamba will be there, so come and TEST YOUR MIGHT. Contact me at five zero five three zero one two nine six one for directions.

So I’m not 100 percent sure about this right now, but who all is driving up to Evo this year. When are you leaving for Vegas and when are you planning on coming back? And do you by chance have room for 2 extra seats? Again, I’m just curious as I’m trying to find some transportation options right now.

Nice! I’m down for games tomorrow. What time? And would people be morally opposed to me bringing a copy of SF4 along? I can provide an accompanying TV+console+sticks as well.

Also the address of the new GA is 10200 Corrales Rd NW Suite B1. Facialbook says the tourney starts at 3.

You’ve got a deal.

Also, I’m down for any and all bar-hopping that might come about.

Reposting with clarification that games start at 1PM.

Also @Dylan, yeah, any games/TVs/consoles you bring are welcome.

I’m going to need to have one of you students help me out with this one.

The location of the new Super Gamers Anonymous is

10200 Corrales Rd NW Suite B1

the tournament is going to start at about 3,

$10 to enter ($5 for the venue $5 for pot)

So I have a PS3 now. I just need a converter for my PS2 stick, or a PS3 stick. Anyone know where I can pick one or the other up on the cheap side?

I just ordered this converter for my old SF 15th pad:

iNPiN PS2 to PS3 Converter

Cost me about $27 total (it ships from Korea and I picked the cheapest shipping, so it’ll be here in a couple weeks). It’s supposed to be legit, there’s also the Pelican converter, but they’re discontinued and hard to find for cheap.

I guess I’ll use the first post after the apocsrklypse to demonstrate why MvC3 is lame.

LLND plays like a champion and gets robbed by X-factor.

Looks to me Wesker is lame.

Wesker is very lame but X-factor is what let him tear through Ammy and Hsien-Ko for free. It’s just a ridiculously centralizing gameplay mechanic. Literally the only thing that matters in any given match is how each player utilizes X-factor.

That’s the central focus of fighting games. The use of the proper tool at the proper time within the framework of the fighting engine. I agree it’s awful to see a win like this especially after an extremely strong performance by LLND but Viscant did exactly the right thing at the right time. Besides, any fighting game will have a similar argument if you want it to - proper teching, counters, ultras, option selects. X-factor use falls right in there with meter management.

Hm redesign kinda blows. Oh well, not all sites can be GAF.

As far as MvC I wouldn’t say the game is broken or bad, but it’s pretty different from other games. Not really up my alley, but not bad because of it. If nothing else, it’s fun to watch.

Let the change set in, it’ll grow on you. Plus it’ll look nicer once people reset their avatars.
