Okay Pat, let’s just clear the air here. I’m not saying you don’t do anything for our community, cuz you do. You do a lot and you stepping up has provided a ton of stuff for the ABQ community, and for anyone else who has the time to join in from other cities. The fact that you hook people up with stick mods and what not is awesome, no complaints there either. But don’t treat me like I’ve never done nothing for this community either, or like I’m bailing out on all your tournaments you guys put on. Right now, I don’t even see ANY of the Santa Fe guys, be it my schedule or their schedule, we just can’t seem to get together like we used to (we are supposed to get games tonight tho).
Knot and Slip are busy most of the time and they are some of the top comp up here. Fate and Rig just disappeared, Snake is usually available, but also working a lot. Jerry doesn’t text back anymore, Luis disappeared, and I don’t have blacksteves number. Needless to say, even if we did want to roll down, it’s hard to coordinate the effort right now, and I’d like to leave that up to them since most of them live a bit more of a free-er life.
So all this “shove it up ur a$$ stuff ain’t cool.” I don’t say that crap to you, and yes we are friends. I just get a little tired when I try to start decent conversations about fundraising so we can get some cool venues or have some really good payouts, they either don’t get any replies, or they get jacked talking about something that has nothing to do with fundraising. I try to start conversations about coming together as a group like other scenes do, so that we don’t just have Garrett as our lone king of the jungle, ignored. I tried to start a conversation about rotating the monthlies so that you guys come up for one one month, we come down the next moth, ignored. I don’t know, are those some really stupid things to try to work out for the gaming community?
Anyway, sorry to all the rest of you for dragging this “drama” to the SRK boards. I’m done with competitive gaming, done trying to pull things together, and I won’t bother anyone with any conversations about stuff that could probably help us out even more. If it’s all the same Pat, you can just keep that stick and sell it to someone if you want.
You all keep it going, don’t let Pat just be the only one who steps up, pitch in. Chinga held that torch for a long time, and when he got tired, it took a while for someone to step up, and that was Pat. But it can’t always be a one man show. I was Chinga’s right hand man up till a few years ago, but I got tired too. I got other stuff to focus on and I believe my player ability has peaked and is on the decline. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still fun to play, and ALWAYS fun to hang w/you guys. Y’all are the best, good luck, Peace!!!
