It’s unfortunate that Zal’s tragedy happened to fall between other people’s “bigger” tragedies but that doesn’t mean it should be discounted. Life sucks and then you die, unless you flip it around in your head so that life sorta sucks and then you die. Make the best of what you’ve got. That said, I don’t think Zal was fishing for pity. When you have a problem that’s taking up your whole life it’s hard not to be thinking about it all the time and inevitably it comes out no matter what. I know I talk about my condition more than I should and I really hate bumming people out with all of that but I’m so absorbed in it that I can’t help but express it in conversation or whatever. In the end it all comes down to being kind. I know the FGC isn’t the friendliest place from the outset but we should at least show a little camaraderie for each other, regardless of the issue at hand.
