nah tournament results are not reliable past 1st and 2nd place, round robins and tournament history are much better indications of skill level

I agree, particularly since I’ve snuck my way into top 5 a couple of times for UMvC3. A round robin format, however, may be a better indicator. Or we could simply use the wild card idea and have those who would like to compete for those last couple of spots battle it out in a series of FT5 or 10s.

Edit: I could also bring my camera to record some of the hype, and if nick would like to record the matches as well we could have some really great content.
