^ ultra 2… its not like you are going to miss ultra 1 except for anti-air anyway. You can beat dudley just with solid gameplay so if you are having teleport getting punished problems just opt for ultra 2.
Oh yeah. Makes sense. And dudleys reversals don’t seem to be too strong except for his ex-Dp. So you can low forward on his wakeup with good success.
On a side note, I’m 7th akuma in north america. Silly fun while it lasts…
New Akuma player here, not too familiar with IV/SSIV (I’m an HDR/ST player). I’ve picked up Akuma recently and decided to main him because he feels “right”. One question: why is Cammy considered a bad match? I’ve seen some tier rankings that make the match 6-4 + Cammy.
Damage, mix-up, and dozens of ways to get up close and personal. Oh, and she is hard to vortex IMO

on block due to distance might be safe am I right? can someone enlighten me up in what are the exact thing happening when block this move?

i find that akuma need to ban standing HK against this idiot. on block standing HK is 0 and his c.lk is 3 while mine is 4. unless i actually use uppercut which is risky…
Didn’t know where to ask this and I didn’t want to create a new topic. Which SRK is best used as an AA? I notice that I trade 50% of the time I do an SRK, unless Akuma hits when his fist is fully extended (so it doesn’t have start-up invincibility?). Thanks.
Yea the less experienced Cammys are rather easy to beat because nearly all of Cammy’s moves are unsafe and easily defeated if you know what you are looking for. Where Cammy becomes dangerous is when she uses her normals properly in conjunction with her dive kick to set up pressure. At that point it is better to put the pressure on her because her pressure strings are hard to get out of.

What is the best SRK version to use as an AA? I find that too often I trade or get hit out of it, wtf is this? Does it not have any invincibility frames?
HP SRK still has a lot of invincibility frames, just make sure to use the SRK as late as possible to use those invincibility frames and avoid trades.
A mod really should just lock this thread btw, there’s a new matchup thread now that hasn’t been stickied yet and having 2 matchup threads open at the same time will cause a mess.

3.how to deal with light and EX PC on block? it seems to be extra safe allowing them to continue aggresion with EX scissor/EX PC or even grab. what are the frame when i block light and ex PC at max range? or is it by intuition only?
4.i’ve been told by my friend to block scissor kick standing to increase the pushback, while standing block the benefit is also better chances of blocking a single hit scissor is much higher than 2 don’t know why, also focus attack at certain range will beat scissor kick before 2nd hit even come out?
