Makes me think, someone will just change the color scheme on their regular TE stick and sell it on Ebay as a fake limited edition and make a killing. Have fun with that collectors.

I don’t think it would be hard to tell if someone tried to fake it. Supposedly they are each individually numbered, have that special dust washer, plus you’d have to do a pretty damn professional paint job on the black part of the case… some fake might sell, but anybody who knows their shit will end up returining them or filing complaint or whatever.
I believe if they put it on their official online store they are going to sell it there, madcatz do these surprises. if they will going to only showcasing it, they will display it on the Madcatz site and not their Gameshark Store.

but seriously, i was under the impression that “sold exclusively at the capcom booth at comic con” means that they are only being sold there? again, a capcom hype man at evo told me there would be some online in madcatz’s store, but the memo sent by madcatz would lead me to believe otherwise. it looks like only the pads will be available online.
of course, it will be a pleasant surprise if they turn up in the store.

I live in San Diego and made it out to the preview night for Comic Con. I picked up two brand spanking new PS3 Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Collectors Edition Fight Stick’s. I took a peek inside and i must say that they do look pretty hot. I wasn’t a fan at first but the art and color combo does look way nicer in person. I finished making 2 custom sticks so i don’t really need these. I guess they will end up on the internet for sale later on today. =)
Why would they sell these in stores if they are Limited Edition and numbered. The only way is online if they don’t sell all the 250 for XBOX and 250 for PS3, which I doubt it…
I’m 80% of those are going up on eBay.

I would have loved to buy one of these sticks, but since Capcom doesn’t want my money, fuck 'em. I sure as hell am not buying on off of eBay for $rape.
Shit, I didn’t know about the free groud, but I did get the 10% off. I figured I may as well order one of the fightpads, I’ve been wanting one anyways for 2P use for I figured I’d spring for luxury.

That’s just the nature of exclusive items, there’s nothing really fucked up about it… Anyone who wants one bad enough could have just spent the money to go pick one up, otherwise they’re gonna have to deal with supply and demand when these things are up for resale.
Still though I don’t see why anyone would really want one of these to play… if they really only make 500, they’ll end up being collectors items, and there’s virtually nothing different about the TE which is already back to retail price… there’s even already an art template of this new stick out there, so anyone who just wants the new art can dl the template, buy some buttons and spray paint, and there you go.
Ah…but you won’t get the awesome Comic Con Exclusive box!!!LMAO

Actually this new box sucks compared to the SFIV box. This new one doesn’t even have the cool window or magnet flaps.
