If I have a SE stick modded with a sanwa stick and buttons, would there be any reason to buy the TE stick? I think the TE stick already has sanwa stick and buttons so except for the shape, the TE and my modded SE would be the same, right? Anyone?...

6 months and they finalized my account here. MarkMan can you explain why all the SDCC TE sticks don’t have the hadouken arrow dust washers on them like Capcom announced they would please?

It must have been mis-communication on my part. That was just a prototype.

oooh, no I didn’t see that. That’s kind of messed up seeing as how they put out those pics of it, and they knew people specifically commented about liking the dust washer…then it’s gone with no mention before they go on sale? Meh, that thing keeps getting less and less interesting in my book…

You can do alot worse than a stick that’s easily modded with Sanwa or Siemitsu parts. The Hori Fighting Stick Wii on the other hand will require that you physically modify the replacement stick before it will fit. IMO, the ability to easily swap in Sanwa/Seimitsu parts is very important in this case since we probably aren’t getting a TE stick for the Wii (unless the surprise announcement MarkMan mentioned at the NeoGAF forums is a Wii TE stick).

In any case, I clarified the original statement for your benefit.

I still have a feeling they probably /will/ do the mvc2 thing just because there’s hype to capitalize on. I just don’t think it will be because of those wild speculative claims swiss was making or anything. I just see it happening cuz it seems to make sense, it’s the only other big capcom fighting game in the near future besides TvC which we already know there will be a stick for.

Yes, I do not doubt that Capcom had ideas of making MvC2 Stick.
We just don’t know when or will.

And that rumor from like April was proven false for that time.
Who knows what will be in future.

Unless what Seth said can be for super sure that it will never be made.
I want to believe that what Seth says is the be all to end all though. :sad:

Notice it says prototype on it. This means that the first person to buy one and open the box could see the TvC artwork gone, the blue ball top and buttons switched to pink and the case changes form to look more like the Hori Wii Fight stick. When people start asking “why does this stick not have what you showed at Comic Con?” MadCatz will simply say…“Sorry, it was a prototype. Must have been miscommunication.” LOL.

I’m also seeing a lot of Ebayers who are selling more than 2 sticks under the same username. So much for that 2 per person limit Capcom…
