I was wondering if there were any plans for the upcoming weekend for some causal getogether gaming. A few of my non-SF gaming friends want to get together to play some games and I thought it would be a good idea to try to get a whole bunch of us together for some multiplayer goodness, like Saturn Bomberman or MKDD.
Who else from the local area plays UT2K4? It would be interesting to see what kind of motley crew of players we can get together to play online.
Fuck…sorry people but I went to the arcade earlier but because I take the bus I had to leave earlier. Hopefully next week I can find a ride so I can stay there a little longer because I work every friday and Sat. at 11pm

Capcom focus group for fighting games
I especially like how they have 3 SNK characters on the banner. I guess Capcom think that since they’ve appeared in 2 Capcom games, they belong to Capcom now.
Yeah, I saw a thread about this in fighting discussion not too long ago…
If anything, it will most likely be about new fighting product for the console market only. They’re not going to want SRK heads who want to talk hitboxes and frame data, they want “Ken is so sugoi!” fanboys so they can see if the probable product is marketable.
Don’t get your hopes up. If anything, expect something on console in the next year or so.
Yeah, I know. It’s not like I am getting my hopes up over this. I gave up on Capcom long ago. I mainly posted it to point out the SNK characters.
I actually got an email from Capcom about it last weekend. I was gonna post it then but I got lazy and decided not to.
BTW, random rumor, dunno if it’s true. Capcom USA is considering porting over fighting games to xbox w/ online play, could be what this focus group thing is about.

If that is the case, I’d pick up an Xbox tomorrow. I would love to have a better connection for online fighting. Kaillera has its ups and downs, but I’m not a fan of it overall.
Don’t worry about the birthday thing. I’m usually not too hyped up about it in the first place. Sad times, and not because I’m getting older.

The hell with mvc2 it’s all about umk3 at this point. :lol: We should do umk3 team tourny as well. Just do 2 on 2 matches. Umk3 tourny is going to be real quick because of the speed of the game and combos. 25 people would only take like an hour maybe hour and a half at most.
yo i’m done with school on the 12th then basically i’m just working 9-5 on weekdays so let’s play UMK3 sometime either at my place yours, your store wherever. I mean I been practicing combos but those are kinda useless need to play against actual people. Maybe if we go hardcore; me and you (and maybe even greg?) could give chicago a run for their money, I know you could now already cause you been playing hardcore 
btw manhunt is a dope game if no one played it you should just picked it up for the xbox. anyone want LED modifications on their xbox??

Yeah you could always stop by my store when I’m closing, but trilogy won’t teach you as much since the game is so different and broken. I gotta call greg and tell him about the tourny. He might be a bit rusty at umk since all he plays is deadly alliance. I don’t know if chicago is coming. I’ll try and talk to lex, thrower , or moe and see if they are gonna make it. Otherwise shock & prophet will be coming though. They are pretty hardcore too. More people = bigger platter. :lol: I will be putting manhunt and hitman 3 on my xbox hd tonight I’ll let you know if I agree with ya. LED’s are no good for the system. They potential can shorten the lifespan of the xbox because of power straining.

Yeah xbox-scene.com has all kinds of crazy shit you can do to your xbox on it.I got manhunt yesterday and the game is good. It’s all stealthy though which is frustrating. I like it though. Max payne 1 and 2 or more my style though. I put like 30 gigs of games on my xbox last night just for the hell of it. So if you need any recomendations let me know. Are you playing ggxx through xbconnect or another tunnel server? Can’t do xblive with a hard drive installed. Shit now I gotta go and download ggxx and learn how to play. Though I’ve had it for ps2 forever and only played it 2x. :lol:
