That was ECC5. ECC4 was when WC came here and lost to Eddie Lee in MvC1 and when Mike D came back on Spiderdan. That shit needs to be on DVD in some form. ECC4 was the no-results one, even though I could have sworn I saw full results up at the Break website back in the day. Or was it for ECC5?

This was Eddie’s only MvC1 loss ever, to Arturo. That’s all I remember, besides the place being completely packed and there was a crazy Marvel vs SF tourney which I think Kei won with Double Gief(?)

Even though it’s techically not ECC, you should include other EC things like Todd’s weekend Alpha 3 tourney - you could call it ECC 3.5 :lol:, 100 hits MvC2 tourney @ CF (the one that never happened :lol: ), and maybe even the People’s Tournament. Even though it was in VA, Todd and Kei can tell you plenty about that trip. Plus I know Todd has the tape for it, too.

As you can see, I’m bored as fuck. But at least I’m not working today.

Rob, here is the correct ECC timetable:

ECC1 - 5/24/97 - Just SF3 Mike Cheng, a local Rutgers student, beat Pete Talley for the finals
ECC2 - 8/16/97 - A2/SF3 and Puzzle Fighter (which I won :p)
ECC3 - 5/23/98 - 5/24/98 A2/2I/2X/MVC1 I take it you mean ST when you type in 2X, but yeah this is right. Also note this was the first full weekend tournament done at The Break.
ECC4 - 5/29/99-5/30/99 HF/MVC/A2/2I/2X/A3
pot fiasco - raise entry fee free play instead of normal entry fee and pay to play which is actually better but no one knew Will you please stop calling it a fucking fiasco because it wasn’t one. Once things were corrected, the fiasco was over, but people can’t get over their fucking selves to just let bygones be bygones. so please stop talking about it like it’s fucking funny, cuz it’s not. Anyway, the “fiasco” didn’t happen at ECC4. It was the largest tournament of the time. One highlight was the 115 player SFA3 tournament. Brackets disappeared because some people took it upon themselves to create theoretical brackets. I’ll vent to you abour this more next time I see you.
ECC4.5 - i dunno anything about this cept it was in Nov. Joke tournament getting more people that I expected. To be honest, all I remember running was MvC and TTT

Justin Wong upsets Ricky, tournament runs forever, Todd’s last one, lot of drama ** Once again, drama from people that weren’t there and misconstruing audio from Philly’s finest. Also if people would show up on fucking time (players and management) we wouldn’tve been there until monday 8:30AM. I told people, but no one listened. Not my fault. That’s exactly why I stopped running this shit. No ones gives a fuck about trying to be on time.
ECC7 - 5/25/02-5/26/02 CVS2/2X/MVC2 pretty small compared to previous (supposedly because of the cap on CVS2 people didn’t wanna come and since it was single elim til 16 people), Seattle came, phi’s first one
ECC8 - 5/24/03-5/25/03 3S/2X/CVS2/MVC2 bunch of mini tournaments like UMK/EX2/A3

everywhere i go i see the signs basically if you get a ticket in them it’s 2x the fine - i wouldn’t mind but like every road has them posted so essentially all highways are designated safe areas now - is it even legal to do this?? poor phi he averages like 2 tickets a month now it’s gonna be like getting 4
