Well if any of you know where Bergen Community College is, the anime club will be holding a small (I mean small) DDR and GGXX party. DDR will be out in the open for anyone to play and GGXX will be in the small cubicle we have for the club.

Accent WTF? People in the south talk funny. I love the way people from the country say ball. Accenting the all sound. People in the South are slow you have to repeat yourself when speaking to them at times. They say people from up north talk to fast. New Jesery people do have an accent though, people tell me that all the time when I talk to them, but only in the south.

Let’s remember for a sec that people get mad when they’re lied to over and over again, and that when you take so much crap from one person, eventually a guy like me will explode. It’s called venting…
And how can I seriously ruin anything for people? I don’t have that kind of energy to waste. At the same time, I think you need to under that it wasn’t the break that established the EC scene: It’s me. If it wasn’t for my dedication back in the day, the ec tournament scene would’ve never gotten any bigger than a local pool of scrubs who thought throwing was cheap, and we would never have seen national exposure in the form of ECC. When I first proposed a national tournament, management thought I was insane. Needless to say, The Break is more than eager to run tournaments on weekends for travelling players.
Now you have what was bound to happen: tournaments popping up all over the woods and players who will still attend break tournaments because they’re considered the first ones to do it.
What does this all mean to you? Simply the fact that when someone else decides to try to take over what you’ve created and bends over backwards to please every person he encounters, it’s gets tainted. I can’t work with a person who lies to me like that. Everyone has their one pet peeve: mine is lying. No matter what, I’ve always been honest to others, especially friends.
Aside from all of this, my job has asked me if I can log in more hours on Thursdays. I should take advantage of it.
About running two tournaments at once, Chris doesn’t want that to go on, as he sees a profit loss. If we blocked both money making machines with tournaments, he will lose revenue since people don’t play other games as much as those two on thursday nights. There’s DDR, but 2% of the capcom players touch that game now.
People tend to forget that what Chris is running there is a business and not a bank. He takes a loss on the tournaments just to have people come in to play casual on other games, eat food, etc. to raise profits. Chris also pays more money per head on FREE ENTRY than anyone else I know. So when people complain about the fact that there’s only $45 bucks in the pot, that’ pretty good for ten people who didn’t have to pay an entry fee. If you do the math, you’ll see Chris ends up being shortchanged. I think that the MvC2 players should think about that when they come there just to play the tournament and nothing else. At least so some form of patronage.

i know chris takes a loss whenever we have tournaments but the only way to have fixed thursday nights situation was to have 2 tournaments…cause i mean u had NY for marvel and spence for st… and how come u couldnt have run one with an entry fee?
Yeah, there’s one guy who plays all lower tier, maybe that’s him. I love his Felicia.
As for replacing the cabinets, well it’s just the spacing of the buttons from the joystick that bother me. Messes my game up.

The new Tekken cab sucks. Maybe I’m just not used to it.
And I don’t know if I’m the fat white kid BigKen mentioned (or if that line is some sort of inside joke I don’t get), but probably not, but if that white kid plays Tron Bonne and Colossus all the damn time, then that’s me.
And every fucking cab is always broken in some way at all times. I don’t know if any of my wins are legimate when I play. >:(

Because it’s Menlo. I went in there recently and they had nothing. And to make me angrier, they had an entire wall dedicated to [useless] carnival games. POS arcade.
Menlo = Underage chicks that look like their 18 but are really not.
