You could just say “hi” to the people in the threads of your interest, instead of making a thread dedicated entirely on you. Do you know how that makes you look?
Example you are a fan of wrestling and rap music.
You go introduce yourself to the people int he wrestling thread and rap thread.
Or you’re a fan of basketball and Transformers.
You go introduce yourself to the basketball and transformers thread.

Well, this thread was a disappointment.
This guy didn’t say that SSF4 and MvC3 are the best fighting games on the planet, give him a break imo. SRK needs to learn how to effectively use its hate and when appropriate. Fail, all of you.
Making intro threads in GD is always a bad idea if you don’t know what you’re doing. We have this place Newbie Saikyo Dojo but it isn’t exactly a post here if you’re new to SRK thread either.

Sometimes I feel like people come to SRK, make a senseless thread, get flamed, and then create a new account to start with a clean slate. I think that every time I see a thread like this. For whatever reason, not having any sort of avatar makes the feeling even stronger.

actually guys, after the mvc3 forum, this guy is okay in my book. he starts a thread to say he’s new etc. It’s not like he’s some 11’er that thinks he has to start an MMA or CoD thread because we dont have one yet…that’s the kind of stupidity in the mvc3 forum.
So I say welcome moonstone140. If you want to stay and interact here I suggest you upload an avatar and start reading threads. Once you have read threads for a while and gotten the feel of the place, starting posting in threads. Eventually maybe you will post a real thread of your own.

New guy, if you even read this: This forum has about 40k active users (since all the dead accounts got recently deleted it seems). Nobody really cares about the new guy. Like a couple of people said, just hang around, get a feel for things and just post, intro threads aren’t necessary and most people here frown upon them.
But know that if you came here to avoid hate and flaming, boy did you ever come to the wrong place! Enjoy your stay!
