Isn’t the Captain always spiced rum? GuyofKaillera is bringing some alcohol too for the trip. Free room and free alcohol(barring you don’t bring some of your own). Only having to pay like, 15-20 for gas, plus entry fee. This is the best tournament deal out there.

this. i’m sure tim remembers the absurdity that was the first bbcs loketest, with a silly 5b for jin and tager did so much damage he was A tier or something. It seems they are trying out a bunch of new ideas with characters and I like some of the directions they are trying to pull the game (bye bye taunt and parry loop). Valk clearly does too much damage but i’ll be damned if he doesn’t look ridiculously cool.

Toasted, i plan on leaving pretty early. latest would be 8 o clock. it’s a 6 hour drive, tournament starts at 230. sign ups are at 12, but i can just call some friends and tell them to sign us in. I’d like to leave at 7.
shame. guess i’ll be doing execution and situational stuff all day in training mode for both games.
also, peep the “featured match” from souper bowl last night here in the first post. it’s rich (AK) against rob stevens (SA). i had never seen you do that fireball trap at the end of the first match before, rich. i liked that a lot. and the late palm (?) to crossup in the corner was sweet too. and rob does a sweet ass combo at like 8:50 with two focus cancels that i liked.
I got 4th, out of maybe 30… They promised a huge tournament, but i guess 40+ people didnt show up. (Rochester, Albany, Toronto). I lost to Jug, that bastard in winners, and then Min from NYC in losers. Was a tight battle vs Min, but his honda prevailed.
Dammit Tony, you said it would be on late…I didn’t get to see any of it. When is Spooky puttin that up I want to see you and your boy Jug play. Peeps were ravin about his Gouken. Congrats on 4th man, that tourny was no joke despite the turnout. You brought your A game, I am sure you are motivated to do even better next time!
Next week we takin the SaltMines to GU. Kraig and I are carpooling to Framingham so if a few of you want to tag along I got 3 more spots in my car, so let me know. Leavin around 530pm to get ample playing time since its a bit of a hike from here.
