how many setups do they have in lowell and are they are just running super?
phil’s dad came in and said “11 o clock. games done, k?” and we all thought, ok, so maybe that’s a half hour from now. nope. it was 11 when he said it. i’ll report back when i hear from phil.
also, we did have some sweet matches. it was nice to see rich again and play some super too. now that i’m actually spending a little bit of time with tager in cs i think i really upped my game some. and, just so you know, i’m working on some new tricks with him as well (love that gadget finger).
3 set ups for about 10-12 people. If you are going to want to play BB you’re probably going to need to bring your own tv/ system as it was pure super there. Also add that if you are all migrating over to Souper Bowl it will probably be 3 setups for 16-18 people, which could suck.

so i got the lowdown on the 5 dragons. long and short of it: nobody bought any food/drinks so they were gonna shut down the kitchen and it was then time for us to go. some of the people probably don’t know that, technically, we are supposed to be buying something for being there. that’s how the thing started and why there is no venue fee or anything. buy a drink and/or buy some delicious food, we all get to play, they are happy we are there. personally, i wish someone had told me that nobody had been purchasing anything that night, but several of us show up late due to other commitments and i’m not gonna go around polling people if they’ve bought some pork fried or something before I arrived. didn’t help that people like phil were absent that night. oh well. that’s the reason.
i’d like to hit up the souper bowl a couple times. kickball ends in september and then i don’t do any more sports so i could do that stuff then. always had fun at the two tournaments i entered there. still need to get some more matchup experience in super and we could maybe even convert some nonbelievers to blazblue. also, don’t forget people, september 19th in CT is day 2 of New England Revolution, should have ssf4, mbaa, and bbcs (and a 2v2 for cs) that day. I’ve been excited for that opportunity for some time and i’m continuing to remind people so we all keep improving our games.
anybody think we should put up some flyers in game stores or something for the dragons nights? just throwing out the thought.
Completely understandable of them. I make it a point to have at least 10 bucks a night to spend on food or something when I go to these things, I think it’s kind of crummy not to.
Not to mention the 5 dragons food is great
I am cool with shutting it down if no one is buying anything, it’s just the way it was done that left a bad taste in my mouth. So no SaltMine’s this week again, looks like peeps got a lot going on this week which is cool. Definitely hitting that Souper Bowl this Thursday, and going to have to bring my lagtastic tv to the foray since it sounds like peeps don’t bring any setups to that party. Sucks because I am sure more people could bring setups but are too lazy to do it lol.
i definitely bought some lo mein, and usually buy food everytime i’m there. i think most of the sf/bb players do buy something, it’s the smash players that dont.
I’m sure their parent’s don’t give them enough of an allowance to afford the 6 dollar meals there
Where is this Souper Bowl place everyone is speaking off, and when does it start/end?
It’s located here G-man: 1733 Middlesex Street Lowell, MA 01851. They run a lot of SF tournaments which draw a great crowd usually. Fight nights are also every thursday night, but with limited setups its a good idea to bring your own, that way you can be on the sticks as much as possible. I’ll definitely be there for my fix this thursday since online isn’t the same. Not sure any game will ever get it right lol.

To the Thursdays nights, I only bring two of my three setups because I’m pretty lazy to be honest xD. The venue supplies three setups and no one else really brings anything for some reason, but I don’t mind waiting in line for a match since I think watching is pretty important too 
But yea, bring any games or consoles you want! There’s a lot of room! It’ll start at 6 this week, but I don’t get there til 7-730. But the bartender is there and expecting anyone at 6! Also, we close usually around 12:30 or 1.

Hey man you are missed a great deal, hope all is well… I agree 100 percent on the syle of learning. I was not doing that before i was just mashing rematch but truly askign questions and reflecting on both wins and loses is what makes you a better player in all situations.
