Varies by character as people have different speeds of waking up. The video should show you how to do it exactly. The problem with safejumping 4 frame reversals is you have to be frame perfect, no room for error…
That Seth couldn’t once try ex srk on wakeup or even when Gouken crossed under him? Something wasn’t right there.
Hello, as I surf through this forum. I’m asking myself a question, which I ask to you now ^_-.
I read everywhere that the MP palm is goin’ to be better ( As it was in SSF4 )
But, how was it ? What were the proprieties ? ( Sorry bad english here ).
And the Fierce palm, ?
Thank you
HP palm is going away.
The three palms we will have are as follows:
LP Palm from AE = 2012 LP palm (though the hitbox is supposed to extend further out)
LP Palm from Super = 2012 MP palm
MP Palm from Super = 2012 HP palm
As far as I know, the will be the exact same as from super. Can’t be certain until we have the game in our hands though.
That was my question, how was it in Super. I’m totally new to Gouken ^^. Thank you anyway.
Just shorter distance. If you have super (I’m just assuming you do since you have AE) fire it up and use Gouken there.
Also the MP palm from super is the MP palm right now.
The new old lp palm from super is just a short travelling palm.
how the heck do you change to Super and not AE, again?
do a trial for one… no clue how to do it the real way though
it’s in the options on the main menu
It’s faster too, can punish focus on reaction from a short distance, can combo from corner hadokens easier…
Little question.
What is Gouken able to juggle with regarding the Two-hits Jumping Medium Punch ? Exept Ultras ? I can’t get something to juggle after I get 2 hits.
j.hk is the standard. nj.hp does slightly more damage. You can land a mk or EX tatsu if you whiff the first hit sometimes but this is not recommended because the recovery is awful if you whiff or they fall out.
You can cancel j.mp into tatsu in the air.
Thank you.
What frame traps you guys use? I have a few of my own but I’m trying hard to improve on it. Do you guys have some stapples you go for? I need to improve on this.
The only ones I consciously use are blocked cl.st.mp --> st.mp and cl.st.mp --> st.hp
if either counterhit you get a free knockdown from a link to sweep. I use c.hp to throw a frametrap in there but I always end with a fireball to (supposed to) block string out. If they hit a button in that string I get a counterhit c.hp that, depending on character, will combo with the fireball.
i mostly use st.lp -> st hp. another i use is cr lp -> cr. hp.
cr.lp -> low kongo.
Don’t knock it until you try it.
I use the cr. lp kongo one, it’s awesome, specially with super bar.
The other ones I’m gonna try, but doesn’t seem like the work against 3f moves. I use cr. lp,cr. lp,cr. lp, far st.lk, cr. mp for those. The last hit lands on counter, but I need other ones. maybe cr. lp, st. mp?
Yeah, I stole the far st.mp one from you from last matches, lol.
Need to try the cr. lp, st. hp one.
s.mp walk forwards cl.mk xx lp palm is also good. s.mp sweep is very safe and simple. s.mp xx lp hado is a frame trap. cl.hp -> cr.lp is good but can be hit out by 3 frames. cl.mp -> far s.hp/s.mp is great, it leads to a sweep on CH.
I don’t bother with lp simply cause st.cl.mp just feels so much better and you can do so much more off of a blocked one.
The kongo to stop cr.tech needs to be character specific, for instance Balrog needs mp kongo for his c.lp. I know Balrog isn’t crouch teching but just saying.
I’ll need to try cl.st.mp walk forward cl.st.mk.
Also, cr.lp --> cr.hp is a 6 frame gap. You will get thrown if they stand tech and hit by even a Gouken normal crouch tech with lk.
st.lp to st.hp is even worse. Should use something tighter unless you are trying to blow up delayed cr.tech.
