lol our scene doesn’t suck. we’re behind ny, cali, texas, dmv, and georgia (not by much). our scene sucked like, 5 years ago, but it’s pretty interesting now. complaining ass complainers. lots of places don’t even have enough players to flesh out a scene. and listening to other players that say our scene sucks is retarded dick-riding gospel. not only are you letting someone tell you your house sucks, but because he’s a “top player” you shit on your own work (aka your own baby, FR). sad. if another top player said our scene was good, then what? would your brain fry because you don’t know who to listen to?

The Florida scene at large does not suck; not at least in terms of people who play / competitiveness. It has its own other issues, though – a huge part of it is that the economy in Florida is a staggering piece of horseshit and it limits a lot of us to be able to just play whenever we want, wherever we want. If people had more money, we’d all be likelier to support the arcade / ZP, the arcade / ZP would be therefore cleaner / nicer / better places to play, etc. and so on.
It doesn’t help that arcades and game center / LAN center places in South Florida seemed doomed to fail.

hello FT.lauderdale thread. i am pretty new to fighting games (at least in a serious way) and i want to start playing among other people in person rather than online. i stumbled across this thread, which has the closest location to me (i live in weston). i was just wondering where exactly you guys play often and when. i am ok in ssf4, but terrible in mvc3, but i want to get a bit better and i feel that because i have nobody to really play with i can’t get much better (especially at mvc3, which i am garbage at).
