No, no chance. There will be no poll for a 6th game this year. Wizard made that clear on the podcast.
That’s extremely disappointing to hear.
Option select that shit.
Man I come off as an ass hole.
Anyway yeah, kinda disappointing but I get it. They don’t really know the numbers that MvC3 and MK are gonna bring so they want to give them “breathing room”. Maybe we’ll get some interesting exhibitions or something going on.

Why are people surprised by the inclusion of BB in Evo?
I am wondering that too, unless it’s just trolling. BB had to miss out on Evo twice because of not getting released on time. Not to mention the BBCS2 patch will very likely be out by then and it’s looking excellent so far.
3sole and mvc3 forsure
This is incredibly accurate.
Wow, my original post on this was over a year ago. I bump this thing from time to time to see if opinions have changed since we are much closer to the time that I was talking about in the first post at this point.
this is funny because this issue is happening where Im from.

This is the fighting game community in a nutshell. Capcom is losing their fanbase, but hurting tournaments in general. It’s to the point where I don’t even ride with my cousins to tournaments anymore. It’s not the organizers fault, but surely is the players. It only takes 1 or 2 times for someone to throw a tournament, then list a bunch of games in the line up, yet mvc3/sf4 is only played and some other capcom game, which will eventually make non capcom dickers stop playing all together.
Fighting games are mainstream now. And people are sheep. My cousins say mvc3 bad, but still play it, then they say umvc3 will be better, yet it’s the same damn game with more shit sprinkled on top. They say sf4 is boring, but still enter tournaments for it. It’s fucking retarded. When they tell me x,y,z will be at such and such game will be there, I already know all the money will be in sf4/mvc3, everything else will be a roundrobin/cancelled. It’s not worth it.
Trust me, you are not the only one that feels this way. I honestly don’t see how people bamas scene is going to last when people are falling off, because of this fanboyism/sheepism,
A Blazblue fan complaining about Capcom “trying to wring out every last dollar via bullshit DLC schemes”?!?!?!?!!?
ROTFLMAO. Maybe Blazblue would have been still alive if not for the bull Arcsystem is pulling off with Continuum Shift Extend. Why don’t you Capcom haters take a look first at what the competitors are doing and tell me if they are doing a better job?
Capcom has some involvement with TTT2?
SFxT may actually fall victim to its own system in the onslaught of new games.
As someone who has run tournaments before I can tell you this has the potential to be a headache beyond anything we’ve seen before, and with all the other games coming out the most pressing question before “what to do about the gem system?” at this point is “is it even worth it to run SFxT tournaments over another game?”
At making competitive fighting games? Yes they are…
In that case why has most of the GG fans jump off the Blazblue ship already? Why is MK at one point as big as MvC3 now half as popular? The only possible reason is because those games are nowhere near as good as what their fanboys think. If the ones who had picked up the game was having fun with it they would have struck to the game, the only reason why they jumped off the ship is because they aren’t having fun. Those games bore them. They have more fun with other games. Lots of MvC2 vets absoulutely hated MvC3, but there are also lots of people who never big in the MvC2 scene that enjoyed the game and is still enjoying the game. Including many GG players that were absolutely disgusted by Blazblue.
It’s fair to hate AE and MvC3 and list out the problems of those games, but the real sheep are the ones who think that the poverty games are flawless and that people MUST like them. When people have spent time on those games and concluded that those games are crap. I have no reason at all to wish that KOFXIII/Skullgirls/SC5/etc fails, and of course I want as many good fighting games in EVO as possible, but if they end up being less popular than SFxT it’ll only be for one reason: those games aren’t good enough.

Man. AE is not as popular as AQUAPAZZA. I guess AE just isn’t good enough.
That’s misleading. Aquapazza is #2 and AE is #6. It’s not like either game in unpopular, and Aquapazza doesn’t have a home release.
Hey a ridiculous argument deserves a ridiculous answer.
GGXXAC is still there as no. 10! Go Guilty Gear!! WOOT!
And BBCS2 is no. 3, so it’s definitely a better game than AE. Yep
