D9 & Ben-ra: it was great seeing you guys at the opening reception tonight. Misha as soon as I get these photos edited I will send you some copies in email. I just got home and haven’t even viewed the footage of the dancers from Laos yet. If I had the money or owned a building I would definitely donate it to the gallery whew they need MORE SPACE!!! I’m still spinning from the number of people that turned out for the show. :eek:

on the upside of things, the Pelathe Indian Center in Lawrence is letting me sell some prints and paintings through their gift shop which opens this week. so I’m running around with my head cut off getting some artwork matted and framed in the next couple of days.
D9: I don’t think even Adobe can help me this time with some of the images I have from the reception. some of them are salvagable in b&w only, but the few pics that I really wanted to come out (the ones of the beadwork that the dancers were wearing) they’re trashed

Im used to museum stuff too where you cant bring your camera in and any other art exhibits Ive been to even vidcams werent allowed. sigh But yeah drools over the memory of the beadwork…
Taco- yeah, I LOVE Karmaloop. Ive been kinda exploring around for cheaper sites and found a canadian store Mudshark online thats often cheaper and has a larger selection of colors and sizes, but the shippings hella expensive. They seem pretty dependable though. I just got a pair of TPHS pants off ebay but they pouch a little weird in the front. I think they were meant for a slightly larger (more hips) girl. If my friend Kate cant wear them I’ll either resale on Ebay or try sewing a bit in front. Im also not big on the orange stitching, but thats what blue permanent marker is for! 
I’ll have to check out Karmaloop again tho, I havent looked at their pants for awhile. I also got a GREAT black long sleeve Kitchen Orange funnel neck top for hell cheap! I might have to break out the camera for a rare once a year pic just to show you the top.
Im kinda depressed right now. Someone bought out my favorite nightclub and are coverting its Friday nites from techno/house/electronica/hiphop/smidge of top 40 to completely Top 40 bullshit. From what I hear they’re trying to attract the fratbrat/sorewhore crowd. (Of course, only people with no fucking brains would listen solely to Top 40.) Its not as if there arent already ENOUGH frat bars and clubs in town, its practically an oversaturated market. Like BenRa said, its the end of an era. Ive been going there for almost 3 1/2 years fairly regularly and know the staff/bouncers and regulars…its a second home to me, and these fuckers are messing it up, and not even messing it up with QUALITY stuff but with some laughable joke of half-ass industry manufactered SHIT some “artists” try to pass off as “music”. :mad: :mad: :mad:

Actually, I dont know. Are any of these classes open to women? Id like to take #7 and 13 for myself, and I can sign up a few guys up for #1 and 2. My man’s actually really good on #12 except when he decides to play mind games with the sales persons and picks up the store cleaning products and starts PLAYING WITH THEM and shoots rubberbands about… ARRRGGGHHHHH!!! He’s gotten much better about being objective about the clothing I show him though rather than doing that whole “safe” - “I dunno honey, everything looks good on you” routine. God bless the poor guy. :rolleyes:
D9: the photos may have been a bad upload; my friend Melanie in Chicago couldn’t open the last 4…freakin’ hotmail crap. she was able to open two of them and she said the b&w ones looked much clearer than the color versions. that’s all I want for my b-day/x-mas this year is a decent digicam.
