well, as for me, I’m hangin’ in there. we have a huge holiday week and weekend ahead of us at the liquor store. so i’m trying to relax as much as possible this weekend before having to face the maddening crowds of drunken assholes this friday and saturday.
in other news, my good friend John (from st. louis) is being shipped off to Kuwait this weekend. he had already served in Desert Storm ten years ago, so we’re all a bit shocked that his naval troop was activated this month.:eek:

Hey, anyone here?
Just thought I’d stop by and say hi to everyone. I see some of the usuals have come back. Glad to see everyone is keeping the the thread alive and well.
I’ve been in Charlotte, NC, the last 3 weeks with my internship at the Charlotte Observer. I finally graduated in May, and I suppose being a college grad means something, somewhere.
Marcus and I are, as usual, in limbo. However, I think it’s permanent. While in Chapel Hill, NC, for a 2-week pre-internship residency, he didn’t take the time to call or write and that spelled the beginning of the end. Since then, he’s gotten increasingly flakish, if any of can imagine. I thought things were getting better but apparently not. So, I’m pretty much single and am moving on with my life with someone from my old SC thread that stuck by me and has liked me for the entire 2 years I’ve been with Marcus. Wish me luck.
Anyway, that’s all. Hope everyone is doing OK.

Things will work themselves out for me. It’s painful and difficult, but I’ve been through this before, and I know you all have read me bitching and moaning about it. This time it’s just slowly disentigrating. I hate the slow death, but I’m just tired. Really tired, and I’m losing my best friend while trying to make a life for myself.
I just hope that noone else forgets where they came from and who was there for them when they needed someone.
