guys dont forget about brainbox! we started running little tourneys every friday like any ole loveable establishment would do. we’re currently running ae and marvel and hoping to get a lot of people interested.
I’m a little surprised to see some Vermont players around here, I live in Burlington VT (about 30-45 minutes from Plattsburgh NY and 90 minutes from Montreal). If anyone is around or can recommend some events to me, I’d like to start getting back into playing.
I took an 18 month or so break after playing 3S pretty seriously for three years. Let me know.
I’ve updated my previous post with more relevant information on the venue. As said previously, venue is now $5 per person. This Friday there will be two tournaments provided that there are enough interested entrants. Skullgirls and UMVC3 will be both $10 per tournament entry. I am unsure of pot payouts currently, as I am not the host, but I will update when I find out.
this one’s gonna be a big one guys. we’ve got players comin in from MA, NJ, NYC, maybe PI, who knows where else, east coast is COMIN OUT for this one. there has been a $600 dollar pot bonus put up to be split between SFxT, UMVC3 and SSFIV; AE2012, and a -LOT- of competition has been attracted by this fact. so, let’s take this opportunity to get KoF in there for MA one more time!
I will be bringing one KoF setup with a HANNS-G monitor and full character roster. I need to get another one in there between today and saturday but that won’t be a problem. we plan to make the tournament 10 bucks a head, which I can set up brackets for on tonamento via laptop. the event will be streamed by bifuteki all day.
I’ve been bringing KoF out and about in MA since release and the tournament at Game Underground last weekend - link = Masshole Clash @ GameUnderground 5/12/2012 Framingham, MA Results - was the largest showing we’ve had yet. I was very pleased to get 15 people in on KoF that day and was glad to see some fierce competition in the final set on stream, but obviously, KoF13 deserves EVEN BETTER than that.
so let’s make this happen! get out to fall river on saturday and show the east coast that KoF is the truth and MA fucking plays it!
Attention everyone: I have since moved way the fuck out of New England and now I’m in Louisiana. Sorry you won’t get to see my Viola in person now, but I have a good connection here so I can always play online. (PSN: ClaTheNinja) Even though I only played with all once, it was good times. Good luck at your future events and maybe I’ll run into some of you at EVO some year. (probably not this year, but definitely next year. Been wanting to go to EVO since like 2006 and I’m tired of not going. I will definitely be there no matter what next year if Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown becomes a main EVO game.)
Is there anyone in Northern Vermont, Newport area that plays SSF4AE? Looking for offline games if possible since I’m basically restricted to online-only at this point. I wouldn’t mind weekly or monthly casuals or something if anyone is from around here. I can’t travel far due to my new work schedule but depends on what (if anything) is going on up in this backwoods area.

team RPD is hosting a major event here in Boston, and MA invites anybody who wants some more action before EVO to come out and throw down! I will be running the KoF event and we will be trying to come up with 3 setups on XBOX 360. I have one, we’ll need 2 more.

There’s the FB link for more info. Gaming ETC provides a large spacious area and plenty of ASUS monitors for individual setups so come on through this sunday or next sunday for tournaments.
Not sure if any one from Vermont is still monitoring this, but I would like to try and get some casuals in for P4A, Kof XIII, or SSFIVAE. Or to even attempt to start some scene in the Burlington Area, as I could only imagen that with all the small venues and colleges that a space could easily be acquired for some gathering!!
