Let’s hope that it doesn’t have the ROTT remakes issues. Namely, the whole checkpoint system (the fuck, if it’s old school you let us save at ANYTIME, ANYWHERE), the bland level design and the off movement. Still wish it was Flying Wild Hogs since IMO Shadow Warrior played better than ROTT.
ROTT got patched to add in a save system for scrubs like you that need to save before every enemy encounter.
Shadow Warrior 2013 is a modern FPS game with the run speed of a 1-legged turtle. It’s nothing like the original, and RoTT 2013 is a much better game in every aspect than Shadow Warrior 2013. The “off-movement” comment makes me really believe you didn’t play many oldschool FPS games from back in the day where your run speed is equivalent to a lion on crack.
You should play Rise of the Triad: 2013. There have been quite a few oldschool style inspired FPS games lately, but RoTT: 2013 is king.
Been playing FPSes since Wolf3D. Heck, I still have Duke3D, OG Shadow Warrior and SW: Dark Forces installed on my comp. ROTT 2013 feels like it’s trying too hard to feel old school with the movement and IMO actually feels nothing like those old games. At least I don’t recall you moving like you’re on rocket skates on Duke3D or DF. ROTT actually made me want to puke, literally, had to stop playing or else I might have thrown up.
A lot of people think the movement in RoTT 13 is really good. Maybe it’s the change to real 3D that’s making you nauseated/making everything feel off since everything isn’t sprite-based anymore?
I have all those games still on my PC too except for Dark Forces(might download it again…it’s been a long time.)
