Playing on stick is definitely better in the long run i’m sure. I’m not saying that pad is > stick because…it isn’t.
As a kid growing up in the arcades I always used to hate playing games like Mortal Kombat I and II, Soul Calibur II, Simpsons Arcade, etc on those controls. I’d get my ass handed to me in MVC and i’d mess up scorpion and sub zeros combos in UMKIII.
Its a bigger leap for me because ive hated how stick felt ever since i was really young. I’ve always been a very big console gamer and prefer movement to my finger tips…not my hand. It’s more so the movements and spacing then the buttons.
When I get the money and stuff i’ll invest in one but I just don’t it right now.
playing right now. gonna try to start at 6 tuesday and thursday and then re-up with new players/modes throughout the night.
Kinda had the opposite experience, even though I sucked on stick when I first picked it up. I too used to play on pad, never had a stick growing up. It just felt like 100 times more fun with a stick when i tried it, even when i was messing up combos I knew i could do on pad.

g0dhand clarify in the tourney thread the rules regarding that tournament. Last Miyamoto Cup tournament had some issues regarding character locks and no mirror matches. Also there was a discrepancy with payouts with first place taking everything, 2nd gift card 3rd thank you come again.
I would drive to you but yeah…i am really hurtin on money and need a job so i cant really make a drive. I’m literally broke almost. I can do around 6 on tues and thurs most of the time…

@Bacardi - No crap this time around, as I’ll have full control over the situation. Trust me, I understand your concern. I was around for that as well, and talk about a hinderance. 
There’ll be no character locks or restrictions on mirror matches. :eyeroll: :wonder: As far as character selection anything goes.
Same tournament style as project failure.
Double elimination, best of three rounds, best of three games per match.
Losers/winners finals and grand finals are: best of three rounds, best of five games. Losers’ bracket finalist has to win twice to take home first place.
All you have to do is try to let us know your availability on the tourney thread. If you forget to before then and still want to attend then who cares, show up and bring whomever.
I’m on my phone now, car pooling into work, so I’ll update the thread accordingly when I get into my office.
What’s described on the thread for payout is what stands: 70/20/10 percent split. If 10 percent is less than your entry fee, second runner up receives their entry fee and first and second place payouts are adjusted for this.
Feel free to ask more questions on the tourney thread if you wish.

Hey guys I am officially back in the North and should be able to make any tournaments that are on the weekends. Still training to operate Naval nuclear reactors but will be in CT very often. Also I have much better internet now and with being closer should provide for good connections with people near by.
