Miyamoto Street Fighter tournaments.
First time I’ve ever heard of it. You have to sign up and register, and pay at the door…
I’m kind of sketched out about it personally, I’ll find out when I get there I guess. But that’s only because when they linked me to the sign-up site, you had to register and the site looked so illegitimate. It was put together like a site off of angelfire out of the mid to late 90’s. Basic HTML with a repeated background, a bunch of picks and links in a top down format with nothing but standard fonts.
Registration didn’t ask for anything other than a full name, a chosen handle, birthday and an e-mail address. I haven’t received any spam yet, but we’ll see. Thank Christ I only gave them an “I don’t care about” gmail account.
It’s in the Gamestop in West Hartford. PS3 version using controllers, all characters, etc.
10 at the door for members of the site, 12 for new members, something like 15+ for non-members wishing to participate.
They have a bunch of rules and stuff too, like you’re punished for signing up for one with a no show, you get kicked out of the league if you don’t go to >= 6 tournies a year, etc. I mean, that’s a good way to keep people coming, but I’m still having second thoughts.

Just read the member rules before/if you decide to join up.
Edit: The only reason I actually went through with signing up was because I actually used to work at the Gamestop they’re holding the tournament in, and I remembered one of the guys who worked there. I called the store and he picked up and he knew all about the site and what to do. I worked there a couple years back.
Edit 2: Also, I signed up today at 1:00 PM and the site said there were only 2 spots left. But I don’t know even when they update that shit, so it could have been full already when I signed up today.
