Because the game needs more characters, and we think that should take priority over everything else. It’s also the only way to keep the art team employed.
If we end up somewhere between goals, we have a “floating” goal, too, that’s a lot less than a full character.

just her. there’s no reason to hold her release since they’re going to produce them one at a time anyways.
It’ll be a large number to finish just one. The first stretch goal is a second character.
How many characters get released and how fast is up to how much money they get.
Considering a single character takes us like 3 months to make, a “large pack of characters” would be a long time coming.
If we manage to fund multiple characters, we plan to release them one at a time so the game is continually evolving.

I have been waiting for the PC version for months. I hope it will be possible to suscribe to a mailing list for that beta everyone is talking about, I wouldn’t want to miss it.
Oh yes, you sure have my support. Not sure how much I can give you in funding Squigly but I sure DAMN won’t allow this game to go down.
If the DLC is going to be free for a limited time, the incentives have better be good! I think the reason the EVO drive was so successful was because all the money went to charity, so it was easier for people to convince friends/family/themselves to donate. The basic incentive for a normal crowd fund is a “pre-order” of the product so without that there will be a bunch of people who will just wait to freeload.

He already mentioned beta-test keys. Also I’m pretty sure that some goodies from artists / VAs will be possible to arrange.
I would totally be up for more VA voicemails. After listening to what people were coming up with on the Fanatiq late night stream I realised that I missed loads of opportunities to troll my friends.
Another thing I would love to see in addition to Squigs would be additional intro and win poses for the existing characters. Now that the art team will be getting back together it seems like it will be possible to get this done.
