ya you’re right we’re some snk ingrates but capcom gave us the blueprint for 2d greatness. but don’t worry they’re gonna learn. with these new systems coming out with better online gameplay and peole like us spreading the word, i might just buy me a fatal fury fitted cap and tell capcom to kiss my ass. hold that!!

Maybe we’ll see that arcade Half-Life 2 game that Taito was supposed to make… (A Half-Life 2 fighter–imagine that. I wonder what Shin-Breen would be like).
Anyway, at this point, I don’t really have much faith in Capcom anymore. Their time has come and gone, as has the arcade 2D fighter. They might as well release the game to console and be done with it.

Same here. I always become victim to the merciless hype machines of the gaming industry. I would hate to be let down on this one.

I talked with my brother who is friends with a writer for somthing slash ( forget the exact name, it’s an online gaming magazine type thing ) That confirms that the new game is street fighter 4. They are premeiring this information at a game convention of some sort or somthing like that within 2 weeks. There is no playable beta, they will simply be showing images and video from the game. From what my brother told me, he is 90% sure it is cell shaded and still keeping it to 2d game engine type.
Looks like our prayers have been answered.
From the timetable i got from my brother it seems the ETA for any type of playable beta isnt till atleast november. Unfortunatly nothing is know about the actual gameplay engine that will be used.

when you think about it, if its not power stone then it could be any other fighter by capcom and people will be happy, mvc3, cvs3, sf4, cf2, anyone would be great but yeah im routing for sf4

How many times do we have to say that MVC3 would be legally impossible at the moment? 
Wouldn’t an SF4 developed by someone other than Capcom be considered OUTSIDE the SF universe? Much like how Arika created SF EX, which wasn’t considered as part of the SF universe.
