I want to play nbc too, but I guess we are spoiled by SNK releasing fighters all the time. The fact that Capcom has been pretty much just throwing scraps to the 2d fighting game community, combined with the rumour that SF4 is coming, has us all rabid right now. I was trying to keep my hopes contained when this first started spreading, but now I am going to be pissed if we don’t get SF4.
If this is gonna come to consoles then that means the game has to be 3d. IIRC someone posted that sony said they don’t want any more 2d games, so chances of this being 3d is pretty high if it’s gonna have a console release

Capcom would never make a shit SF4. Even if it isn’t what we wanted, it will still play like an amazing fighter. SF3 was not what people wanted but it is an awesome game.
i doubt sf4 will be a bad game…capcom won’t hurt their trademark like that. and don’t worry they’ll make two updated versions of the game to fix any complaints we have examples: 2nd impact, 3rd strike…

This is true. Even CFJ, with its many many faults, plays well. Let’s just hope it actually is a SF4 and prepare for the mass rioting when we’re disappointed.

Capcom announced a melee “war” game that wasnt previewed before. This fits the correct description (of a “competitive action game”) that Gamespot used. The description did NOT say it was a “fighting game”.
Still, we have a few hours until were sure.
Quality is a matter of perspective, and theres always a chance, however slim based on their exemplary record, that SF4 may be as much fun to play as getting a sandpaper hand-job. I’m not going to start slating a game Ive not seen, played or am even sure exists, but Im not going to rule out the possibility that it might be total wank. Its my way of staving off supreme disappointment that and a long jump off a particularly high building.
And yes, SF3 is awesome.
