Don’t know if this is in the Makoto trials, but you can combo a juggled 5cc into a lvl 3 2d as long as it is near the first of the combo (and the combo doesn’t start with A attacks).

So, for her throws you can do:

b+c, 214a~a, 5cc, 2d (lvl 3), dash, 5cc, hj cc, j cc, 623c, d (lvl 3)

or

4b+c, 2b, 5cc, 2d (lvl 3), dash, 5cc, hj cc, j cc, 623c, d (lvl 3)

The second combo should work with an airthrow too.

The timing is difficult though. The 2d has to be in first of the lvl 3 section or it will whiff.

It would also work if you landed a random (or comboed) 623c, rapid cancel, 5cc, 2d (lvl 3), etc.

Cool will give those a go a little later. I immediately found out about that 5cc when I started though, was so happy she had that in order to push people into a corner.

I just realized that Makoto does more damage with j.cb than j.cc in juggles.

Reminds me of RSF. If it’s that vital to her game, they need to keep it.

Also, I was at IPlayWinner earlier and noticed that the characters in SSF4 that I have a preference for have a strong emphasis on rushdown and mixups (meaning I’ve finally found my style). Do any of the characters strike you as something of this type. From what I can tell, Taokaka might be like that.

Bang is rushdown and mixups. Litchi has range and corner lock down. Tao can cancel her drive so she passes through you or she can cancel it and jump and if it hits she can bounce away or towards you.

This game frustrates me to no end, half this shit just makes no sense to me. All I can do half way worth a shit is tech out of stuff.

I’m getting a little bored of the game myself. Probably just worn out after playing too much but does anyone feel like the community for this game sucks? Just can’t put my finger on it but it doesn’t have the same experience as other fighters, even the original Blaz.

The biggest issue this game has is that it has been out for months. People have been playing the pirated PC version and have already tired themselves of the game, and now that the console version is out they see now reason to buy it.

That along with the constant whining over DLC characters = recipe for disaster

after many hours of play i still suck at this game badly… and yeah community for this game does suck.

Online population for this game has been about the same as BB:CT’s was when I last played that a few weeks ago, which is to say not very big at all. Hopefully it’ll pick up some, but theoretically it should be doing a lot better so soon after release…

It might pick up considering it’s still pretty hard for a lot of people to get the game…

Well, I’ve also known some people, me included, who’ve been sort of avoiding online play for the moment, people doing arcade and story for stuff… and people intimidated… I know my few matches online have been a bit… lopsided, and that can scare some people off for a while.

I don’t care about getting owned as that’s the way to get better. :sweat: It may just be me but I keep getting jerks who quit if they lose once, close the room, or boot me (when I haven’t even played yet). And I keep seeing the same people make lobbies, where’s everyone else at?

You won’t care, and I won’t… But a lot of people will… It’s disheartening for a lot of people to lose hardcore, and it seems like I run into better players more often in this game ( size thing I guess ) … which can really piss people off.

I baited a burst for the first time in this game. It felt awesome. I remember playing gg with a friend and i baited his burst and airthrew him out of it. Those two experiences were so awesome. You have to predict exactly what they are going to do.

I have parried chuns kick super and just defended alot of moves in 3s and cvs2 but they hardly compare with baiting a burst. It just feels so cool.

I find myself actually being able to instant block a little online. At first i was just normal blocking. Now when i know something is coming i will try and ib it.

Right now i am playing hazama. What is the timing for the qcb d then c move after his kick dd. Right now i am using dash c then down c. I am really digging his corner combos. He can do alot of damage with his back to the wall. Jumping b on counter hit is godlike. He can kick distortion drive, dash up combo. He can land into whatever b and b he wants. The only things i havent really gotten down yet are his combos where there are more than like 2 snake arm things. And for some reason i cant combo his serpent dd after dp and d reliably. LOL eternal coils of the dragon serpent. I love when he says that shit. My favorite thing to do to end a match is back throw into umm e.c.o.t.d.s. I like trying to ume shoryu sometimes with his dp and d. Sometimes i like to just style on dudes. It is alot of fun. Sometimes i feel like i can always make an epic comeback.

I feel like I am abusing the hell out of Makoto’s HCB+F D distortion. It’s like an almost instant Jin bloodia punch from marvel.

She is fun to use but it is so hard to get in on Lambda or anyone with a good distance game. At least she has a DP unlike Bang to get out of pressure.

Has anyone else been getting poor connections online ? I haven’t seen anything higher than 0 bar games. Things were never this bad in CT.

Yea, has been getting worse. I used to be able to get a 3 bar but now it’s 0-1, 2 if I’m super lucky. And then those guys I do get 2 bar have the 3 bar restriction. :sad:
