NEW "Blazblue Continum: Shift" discussion!

Wow BB: CS Online is as great as ever, they improved upon the already great online in CT…so great !!

I don’t know about any of you but when I pre-ordered CT not only did gamestop loose my pre-order but they didn’t have the game until 3-4 days after the release. I came today with my pre-order receipt and their new arrivals catalog with July 27th stamped on it and they are now telling me the 28th.

No biggie really, I just hope it doesn’t end up like last year.

I’m getting the hang of canceling now. If my SF main (Fuerte) is any indication, I’m not used to canceling for such a large extent of time even though I know how it works.

I just need to slow it down and break down the combos into pieces and I should be ready for online play in two weeks.

for some reason some places aren’t getting it till tomorrow. My gamestop told me yesterday they wouldn’t have it till tomorrow…but i called today and they had it in.

Got this game and been playing for about 5hours now. Really diggin the challenge mode as it pretty much teaches you everything about your character although it would’ve been nice if they showed how to build meter with Arakune a little better but I got whooped by a Kune player that showed me how.

Has anyone else noticed that virtually nobody is playing ranked? Hope more people get on that in a few days. I don’t care about the ranks just want to get in a game where I don’t have to wait for 3 other players to finish.

UPS didn’t deliver it to the closest game store here until 3 =/…

So uhh… when do we stop posting in the BBCT subforum? Maybe even get character subforums?

My friend brought his copy over today, this game is mad fun and trumps the first game in every aspect, I feel pretty stupid for not pre-ordering it so I’ll have to go get my copy later this week, Tsubaki is pretty interesting too

Protip: Litchi mirrors + shots of rum = a good time

Most people have not even gotten the game yet. I am sure there will be plenty of competition in a day or 2

=/ Over here, according to the store owner I was the first person who’d bought the game all day. XD I guess the only upside of living 300 miles away from any sort of FG scene.

Just been goofing around with a little bit so far, looks fun. Unfortunately, brand new game with me having just switched from pad to stick a couple days ago… so… should be interesting.

That’s unfortunate, you’d think a good bit of people would line up to get the game, hope that DLC related shit didn’t scare people away

Yeah the transition from pad to stick is going to take some getting used too, either it should still be fun, good luck

I got SSF4 on launch day too and there wasn’t any attention then either. Just not a very good place for fighting games in general, don’t think it’s any particular dislike for BB… although I do know some friends in other parts of the country who said they felt sort of awkward buying the game because of how it looked on the outside.

All good either way, game seems really fun so far! Anyone know if the game is going to get a fully fleshed out board here?

Oh well that sucks, they’re missing out

As far as it goes for the board “what you see is what you get”, so you’ll just have to wait for new thread to pop up and shit so yeah

I’m pretty hype about getting this game. Also, I’m liking the way Makoto seems to play. Although, she seems very similar to Rui from Chaos Code.

When I went into gamestop the other two people there were getting Starcraft. I actually had to wait a couple of minutes for UPS to pass by and deliver the games to the store.

I’m liking it a lot so far and am halfway decent with Kune now after playing all day and refusing to pick another character till I got him down. I can’t get challenge 10 yet but I’ll get it eventually.

I’m loving that the challenges in this game are a good way to boost execution, since they make you hit some pretty tricky stuff - and do it reliably. Still trying to find a way to mash Hazama’s bnb jCx5 fast enough…

By the way, what do people use for button config? I personally use
ABC
D
but I’m finding that since my ring finger is my weakest finger and so far two characters I’m very interested in (Lambda and Hazama) require mashing C (for Cx8 and jCx5 respectively) we’ll see how that goes.

I do

I think it’s one of the standard formats and I’ve been using it since GG. Don’t know what challenge you’re on with Hazama but I stopped at 10 as well for him. For the JCx5 it’s not really how fast you do it but how early, the second you leave the ground you have to be doing c’s. At least that’s how I do it, consistently too.

Just added you, always like getting whooped by Tager. :bgrin: Just hope you don’t get too annoyed playing Kune till I learn someone else.

Not at all, well both learn a thing or 2

I also use that button layout
and plan on using haz as much as I can
I haven’t got the game yet
hopefully I’ll find a store within a 50mile radius that has it o.O
