NEW "Blazblue Continum: Shift" discussion!

lots of arcade games have been based off pc specs for years, it’s nothing new. I remember companies like midway using hardware running on windows 2000 from back in the day. its a much cheaper alternative to use currently existing tech rather spend a crapton on proprietary hardware. pc hardware or not, hackers can still dump the data once they figure it out(granted, this is more serious since no emu is needed). it was just a matter of time.

either way, this wont hurt ASW. japan will still play arcade, which wont hurt hardware sales over there. even if theres an american release for arcade, there probably wont be that many sold regardless, since american arcades are dead. people outside of japan will still buy console version, for training mode, online, easier to deal with console setup as opposed to pc, etc etc etc. If anything, this is very fortunate for bb players and have a better shot of trying to keep up with japan.

Ages ago. That’s why I don’t play it anymore. Pretty much when I heard that there was a new one coming out last year, I got rid of it. I’ll definitely be on this one when it comes out though. Too many characters that I can play now.

So instead of being the work of some random hacker for the sake of the challenge and cred, it turns out there’s a shadowy organization of fighting game players hellbent on making awesome combo videos?

combo videos that NO ON ELSE can make.

That’s what I call dedication

I’m off the computer for two days and shit like this happens?!:wtf:

Downloading NOW!

You reap what you sow, Arc.

Don’t rat him out =/

im wondering if ASW would delay BBCS for console because of this, and if they are planning to do something because this, or if this was planned as Yin and Iduno said, conspiracy theories

all i know is I wouldn’t be talking about these kinda things on a public forum

Of course it was beyond Aksys control, that’s why I blamed ASW in the first place you fucking retard (or maybe you stupid fuck didn’t get the irony in the second post). I know perfectly well the nuances of releasing a game in Europe, it still doesn’t justify a 9 months delay and releasing an outdated game.

I’m sure you would be dickriding Capcom like you are doing with ASW if they did the same thing with SF4 and SSF4, but I’ll stop shitting the thread.

It’s just nice to have yet another reason to not buy CT.

I think this is my first post on this area of the forum…

Anywho, as a European I think I’m still going to keep an eye out for the PC version of Calamity Trigger, even though we have this quite nice crack. Why? Three reasons:

  1. It’s missing any explanation on how to play the game. There’s no tutorial or training mode.
  2. It’s all in Japanese.
  3. It’s pretty much only you versus friend/CPU. No online mode.

But it is nice to play BB at last. It’s very odd in comparison to SF - might need to look up on YouTube some sort of basic tutorial.

I think 29.99~39.99 would be a great price point. The game is revitalized with balance changes and some other ones I’m not that fond of (artwork/announcer) but knowing that the purchase would yield a good netcode is almost enough of an incentive for me. Also if they ended up adding a robust amount of new online features it could almost justify being full retail price.

It won’t have any significant effect on the console release. Every game gets cracked.

if your just getting into it, its intimidating as hell at first, just stick with it and learn some BnB combos as you go.

Tryin’ it out early has actually encouraged me to buy the new one.

lets see:
Balance changes
new moves per char
2 new chars
new sub systems + changes on older ones
new story mode
possibly new modes
posibly a reworked netcode

as far i see it, the game worths more than “$10” DLC, too many changes, imo is a new game so it deserves its new release at full price

you are a fucking idiot ont you?

good, one *** less to worry about

Somewhere along thrazz’s Idiotic babble, I came to the conclusion that people like that shouldn’t be playing games in general. If you’re so worried about how your money gets given back to you with a product, Why put it into the moneypit that is gaming? I mean, you’re only going to play a game for so long get bored give it away for LESS than what you paid, or just have it sit on a shelf.

So in the long run, Spending money on even the best game is a waste and you shouldn’t bother with it, since people nowadays have the attention span of a llama trying to do rocket science.

so has it been confirmed that the leaked version, is indeed the final version?

regardless…i cant picture this hurting ASW…in fact, it would not surprise me if this actually helped the game.

You can change the language to English (for text only, voices are still Japanese) in the test menu.

I discovered that in the test options myself, thanks anyway though.

Once I FINALLY got my button layout sorted and actually started playing this game with dude-with-big-sword I really thought it was fun. The sprites are a bit pixelated and I had no clue what the hell was going on most of the time (lots and lots and lots of dashing, random stage with OH GOD THOUSANDS OF CATS…) but damn that’s a good soundtrack.
