Hey Black, I’m going to play with the wiki to see if I can scratch up a draft of the homepage. I’m going to play with Dreamweaver for a little bit. Sorry I didn’t get back to you last night like I said. I ended up playing 3S until 3am and completely forgot about this assignment.
Yo . . . Did you check the wiki? I’m having trouble thinking up other tabs. The “what do you want” section is quick table of the navigation bar. As for the homepage, character select like zweifuss or ESN’s page, but not nearly as big. Maybe we should have a link to the character page? or do you want to keep the character select screen on the home page? or under the “Tutorial” section?
I was looking for videos earlier today. I found Nica K.O.'s old tutorials. I messaged him and metric for permission to either embed them or link to them. I found a few other character specific tutorials too. Like Ramza’s TTH with Urien and a tutorial showing Gouki’s triple tatsu. I also found vids for the original PS2 tutorials on Nico Nico. Those got removed from YouTube. I guess for copyright issues. Should we post stuff like that? I think I found the Anniversary strategy guide on .pdf, too. Should we post that?
All in all, I feel like we should at least credit people’s input.
character selection screen: i like how it is right now since thats how it is in the actual game (when looking for character commands). for now i am going to import that into the main site.

Me and the other web designer still have yet to recieve a response from our pms. He has stated he wants to help out and we both need to see how the site is coming along since we have not been told much in the last week or so. Before the site is shown to any other staff me and my other web designer would like to see it and he would like to help out as well since he was the one who was initially going to create it anyways.
UPDATE ON THE SITE: The actual site is still in the process of being made. I can release it in its current state (I would have to just brush it up so it looks pretty) but it barely has anything on it (just home page, how to wiki, and contact page). I have begun working on the entire fight your rival/ tournament/ and leaderboard system. i am going a different path then what i originally planned and its for the better. the website will be easy to navigate through and will be based on a community site.
after i finish working on this. the entire site will be completed besides minor updates to it.

Yes it is, right now nothing has been talked about yet. Munchkin and I are working on the site right now. The site will be launched will all the full features talked about in the thread such as:

[]community elements (discussions, pm’s, upcoming events, etc)
[]leaderboards, tournaments, fight your rival system
[*]essentially everything that was said before

The site isn’t ready to be published but we are still working on the site.
Yeah, but it’s been a little more slow moving the passed few weeks. I’m looking for another job, and I’m busy with interviews and such. I believe Black is busy with the same plus school.
It would be great if the notable specialists went to the wiki and edited/added stuff, too. Pherai had things to say about the Gouki’s Demon Flip mix-up section. If you see stuff that you recognize as yours or someone else’s contribution but the info lacks any credits, I’ll be glad to include citations if I’m notified. This is supposed to be the 3S community’s base for knowledge and people are welcome to edit it. If you don’t know how to do it, I’d be glad to copy paste anything you send me in a PM.
I recommend making a new topic when this is complete, detail the site and included in that post something like munchkin said within it.

I don’t know how I missed all this going down. I’m an old head that isn’t that good anymore due to taking a lot of years off due to life but I know a lot on paper so I’ll help however I can, also well versed in web design and organizing large amounts of info.
Im sorry for the lack of updates, since black offered to do the site Im pretty much just waiting on him like the rest of you. He is busy from what I hear so the progress will be slow. I apoloize guys I was hoping this could get done sooner but my other developer left the project so I guess we just have to wait. Once black finishes the site he will show it to me for approval then we can move forward with what we originally intended.

Work and looking for work is a really slow process.
OK cool . . . I found some time today. My part is to edit the current cut and paste SRK wiki. I’m also adding citations to unaccredited contributors, but I’m most certainly going to miss A LOT of people. As of now, ESN, Metric, Nica KO all gave me a “good to go” to use their websites and videos as sources. I haven’t asked Renic nor C-Royd for permission, but since all of there stuff is on YouTube, I figured I could embed their vids anyway. I have a small list of stuff that I haven’t put up yet b/c some of them are character specific. Black is trying to find time to build the actual code of the website. I’m on “look for info” duty. It would be a lot of help if I could get in touch with people who are character “specialists.” EX: Pyrolee criticizing Yun’s page or 5-star doing Ken’s stuff.
Even if I don’t get in touch with those caliber of guys, It would be a great help if people could read through the wikis an update outdated links or even correct spelling. Hell, if you don’t want to do that, just PM me about it, and tell me where to look. If you want to ADD info, send me a PM with the link and your suggestion of where it should go.
Progress has been slow, I just sent a PM to munchkin about stuff we need to finish. the website as u guys will be a hub for information regarding 3rd strike. a crucial part of the website will be news stories that will be posted nearly everyday on the site. a big help for the site would be for anyone/everyone to just post some worthy news stories 3s related in this thread so we can archive it for the site.
