Aaaand the Poison peeps from SFxT have a reason to pick this game up again! And with a new balance patch and pirate dlc outfit for preorder oh geez TAKE MY MONEY CAPCOM IM THROWING IT AT MY IPAD BUT NOTHING’S HAPPENING HYPE HYPE HYPE

Poison imo was designed for SFIV…but was put in SFxT anyways(like Bison), so I think overall she will be better off however that trailer didn’t show shit…I’m guess since they are still deciding on alot of things and how moves work…we didn’t see things like Ultra 1 for either character or some sample combos, funny gimmicks.

I have a small wishlist of stuff that I’ll submit to Peter/Combofiend, i’m open for suggestions.

If they are special cancelable in to his LP clap or his clothes line then he should be ok.

Even though we didn’t see much, she still had the solid fundamentals in cross Tekken that make me confident about her in an actual street fighter game. Im betting they will keep her ex LMT’s fireball invincibility (or at least give it armor). Throw in a second ultra and a super and she’s looking seriously upgraded at this point no matter what.

All the hype.

I think it’s safe to say that low Roundhouse being special cancelable is dead…maybe the same with EX WoL giving a launch. But yes the other solid stuff should stay…honestly all ver. of LMT need to be overhead…the shit is slow enough to warrant the change.

i just hope they could fix her cr.mk so its not like Vipers, and then the issue with her srk whiffing on crouching moves. Other than that she should do well in this game. As for hugo i think characters like Gen, and Akuma would have a field day with ambiguous cross ups XD. I feel like most of his moves would be easily focusable. I hope his main moves have armor breaking properties.

Cant wait to main her and Elena along with Sakura in USF4 :slight_smile:

Poison is a better fit for SF4 than SFXT.

You wont know until you try…ugh in retrospect…I was trying alittle too hard for a character I knew was going to be mediocre at best…

They will learn to fear her. Under this engine, she’s going to be sooo scary in the right hands.

Don’t worry, Rook. I’m sure it’ll pay off soon enough. Who knows how the overall rebalancing affects her and the old cast.

speaking of…you think her Super will by default be Ultra 1 like Cody and Guy?

I hope she at least retains the ability to delay her projectile, like SFxT.

I highly doubt it since the super charge system was only in SFxT.

I’m not saying she should be able to charge it into EX or Super, or be able to dash cancel it - but just the ability to delay it, like Gouken or Sakura would be great.

I c, well honestly I always thought of it as an after thought to be fair…on incoming wake up I would just time the :hp: fireball for the blockstun.

I guess that is something to add to the suggestion list though.

Question though, should each button charge change the fireball to a :hp: variant or should they retain their specific button variation…example If I hold down :lp: and charged the fireball, would the full charge ver. be a :hp: variant or the :lp: variant?

Hey, we all tried. I even wound up taking her into battle at EVO…against the guy who sent Tokido into losers bracket. It went about as well as you think it did.

This would make the most sense for the SF4 system, as well as what we expect Poison to play as. That and being able to dash cancel them is a must in my eyes.

I say the :lp: variant. The charging system in SFxT will be gone, but the delay system model already exists in Gouken.

She’ll still be able to HP Fireball FADC on whiff at least.
That is if they don’t change her fireball.
Will enjoy Meaty HP Fireball into a spaced universal overhead in the corner.
Hopefully spaced and meaty f.MPs link into her c.LP. The was almost useless in xT. You could OS crouchtech it and win since she’s airborne.

She will be a link heavy, poke character it seems. She’ll have no juggles aside from EX Rekka (4th hit). If she has EX Fireball loops they will be the way to go.

I highly doubt her having any linkable heavy normals aside from cl.HP and c.HP. cl.HK was a bit much. Hopefully cl.HK can be used in frame traps +4 on hit 0 on block Super cancelable or something. Trade OS into ultra all day

OK, I asked because I would figure delaying/charging her fireball would change how we would use it…but I think it would be broke if she could dash cancel it without meter since it isn’t a universal mechanic anymore. Still I feel that Cr. :hk: is going to get nerf to not being special cancelable…and it’s going to suck.

Speaking of, Poison using FADC is going to be weird as ballz…because I don’t know what to burn it on. Hopefully EX Rekka is the same from SFxT and we get some juggle points off it(Free Ultra plz). :mk: KBG is also safer wakeup option now because of FADC…

So it’s a consensus? we want Delayable Fireballs?
