"Nem-Assists": The Nemesis Teambuilding/Assists Thread

Nemesis with trish peekaboo just makes nemesis keep away so much better how is it not up here.

Can you explain this, I was thinking of Peekaboo but I’m not sure how it applies really, most of Nemesis keepaway is jumping rockets. Peekaboo would just prevent approaching Nemesis on ground, most players Super jump to get across anyways.

currently running Nemesis/Viper/xx (Wesker) and having a good time with it. Biohazard Assault and Burst Time DHC well both ways, and if Viper’s Burn Kick assist hits it’s a free launch (since his launcher has such good range), though i need to try and start getting a wallbounce out of it (and wallbounce more in general). i’m running Nemesis’ ground bounce assist, so there’s some motivation to replace Wesker and have a more useful second assist - i might finally learn Dante since Jam Session should be great for Viper and Nemesis. there are probably better pairings, but i’m glad to find someone that “feels” as good as Viper.

the amount of space you can control with nemesis tentacles, rockets, jumping s and jumping h as well as trish peekaboo assist is incredible, it causes my opponents to be so careful becuz if they aren’t they get a touch of death combo and if they block to much its a free command grab its fantastic, and if they try to stay away i just out zone them with my rockets and taskmaster forward arrows assist, and its so dangerous when they come in against a peekaboo set up cuz is almost free 50/50 if you do it right, where you can either cross them up with jump h or you attack after they block peekaboo, or you command grab when they fall from peekaboo or they get caught by the trap, it has been working wonders, my team of nemesis, taskmaster, trish has had tons of synergy, and the team hyper combo just looks badass

So far I have been putting some time in with Nemesis and Iron Man. They are working well together so far, but i havent thrown them under any real fire yet. While unibeam works well with Nemesis, I’m finding repulsar to be alot more worth it. I have trouble dealing with teleporting shenanigans, which kind of force me to go with a spamming j.H. So far, the only way i’ve been blown up is when deadly reach is out of range, can easily get beat out by a shinku or hailstorm. So while it may not be the best pair, I am liking it so far.

I would like some advice on a third. I’m currently running Hawkeye which still helps nemesis, but I guess im still not sold on him as an anchor. Especially after Iron Man since I tend to get proton cannon happy. What do you guys think would make a good third with Nemesis and Iron Man?

This has been said about a million times, but Strider.

Best anchor for Nemesis is Strider, i know allot of people are kind of lazy don’t want to learn him but its the troof he is the best anchor and assist for Nemesis.

I was thinking about starting a secondary team with Nemesis and Sentinel, but I’m at a loss at who else should be on the team. Any thoughts?

True, I´m playing Nemises/rdm/Sent…I really dont know what wil be mi second…going to try Hulk out in this team

^ i don’t play Hulk but from what i understand the synergy is good. Team giant is actually good. I made a list of viable assists above. If you want the best assist for nemesis it’s strider’s vajra

My strider suxxx big big time! 1 mistak and my grandmother kills him lolz xD I need a good second spot but not mass advance/superior execution char cuz i am new to the game

Well I guess Frank, Hulk, Wesker all work but they’re not the best assists still.

How much does Rapid Slash help Nemesis? I want to change up Sentinel as my anchor, but ignoring Doom/Strider how well does this gel.

I’m pretty set on having Nemesis/Wesker in my team it’s just a matter of a third.

Lately I’ve been working with a Nemesis/Hawkeye/Wesker trio, and it’s currently my go-to team. His triple arrow works wonders for assisting Nemesis, and Gimlet just speaks for itself. Unless someone else has a better idea, I suggest trying him.

I do like Hawkeye a lot actually from just playing around with him in various modes. Dat Gimlet is so nice, who is the better anchor though? Wesker can get zoned pretty easily by himself but hits like a truck obviously (who doesn’t at Level 3 though…).

This is what I’m weighing right now. The one thing I’m certain of is that Hawkeye seems to be the best in the second spot, since Gimlet can combo in and out of both Biohazard Assault and Maximum Wesker. To that end, I’m toying with either Nemesis/Hawkeye/Wesker and giving myself some versatility later in the fight, or running Wesker/Hawkeye/Nemesis and have my opponent try to deal with XF3 Nemesis.

If you’re already sold on running Nemesis on point however, I would instinctively go with Wesker as anchor, at least out of the three. If nothing else, he does seem to have a few more options and maneuverability that the other two, but I’m just one player with an opinion. Your mileage may vary.

I don’t think you get the maximum value out of Nemmy as an anchor personally. He’s already going to fuck the opponent up, I would think in most cases XF3 is just overkill. In regards to Hawkeye vs. Wesker though I think the chip Hawkeye can do makes him a bit more valuable but it might just be a matchup specific decision really. This is just me personally, but I also think Wesker is good momentum changer as ridiculous as that sounds. If Nemesis gets clowned on Wesker is a great equalizer to throw out second, but that’s just a personal thing I think.

I’ve found that Nemesis pairs very well with Arthur (and his Daggers assist) but I find myself using other teams because my Arthur isn’t that good.

I thought about trying this as well, but yeah Arthur just doesn’t seem worth it. I’ve heard he’s a pretty beast anchor though if he has XF3

There is a lot to like about the pairing which is why I posted. I used Sentinel for awhile but I found that he was a little too vulnerable at times and Arthur is a better anchor.
