I don’t think it’s fair to say that the EC guys don’t travel. ECC 7, ECC 8 and ECC9 were the east coasts equivalent of Evo 2k2, 2k3 and 2k4 imo (not in size but in terms of a coast’s major tournament), and many ec heads went to those three evos, whereas only seattle (not california) showed up to ecc7 and ecc9. It wasn’t until 2005 when california showed up to ecc x.
Nobody from wc showed up to last years evo east as did nobody from ec showed up to evo west, so that’s fair.
Besides the fact that EC now believes they have the best players, there hasn’t been any major tournaments in california worth going to. I wouldn’t put norcal regionals or cal poly tournaments as major tournaments compared to that legendary ucla tournament in may of that one year or the shgl 128 tournament that sanford went to.
u don’t have to go to evo west/east. we talking about worlds. Vegas is on the west. I see the same players on the west all the time that come from the east. I was surprised as hell erik showed up. It got to the point where we put money on him not going and he showed up lol.
Last year was ECC 11. and the only ppl that go are the dips and chunk. Taiji,darkprince and another dude came also to ECC11. I don’t think potter is talking about EC going to evo west, he means Vegas. Even if EC had the better players, can’t prove that without going to evo. If Evo results had more EC players that would be a valid statement. But now it just looks like an excuse not to travel LOL. Plus the shit is in vegas wtf you don’t have to play games all day heh.

As far as I know Evo west finals and Evo world finals had him in them. So outside of a money match, the best chance for ANYONE to have a match against Alex is to actually make a final in one of these tournies.
