Wow, I didn’t even know you could ultra off an ex rush upper. Issit workable for non-ex?

Anyway that bison didn’t have many of his basics down. Bison vs Rog is supposed to be really hard for rog. He didn’t hk to stuff alot of ur jump ins, he didn’t play the lk scissors kick mixup-esp in the corner where it usually HURTS-and he even used hk scissors when he was close to you.

I’d suggest when playing against more high level bisons to jump straight up more often, esp whenever you are expecting a light scissors kick. Also remember that Bison’s jump downward hp beats out rog’s d.hp clean, so charge light HB for that instead. A good bison will be all over rog with lots of crossups and combo or block string chains/throw mixups. Other than that gj!

Thanks Slick. You’re right, I think we did play because I distinctly remember seeing that gamertag and getting the song Children’s Story stuck in my head :tup:

I’m in Southern California btw and I can always use the mirror practice. It’s probably my weakest and most hated matchup lately. I’d rather play Dhalsim in a final if you can believe it! So hit me up on XBL anytime.

But damn man, I’m in europe right now so I doubt we can have a decent game. I know I have a very good connection with the east coast and dirty south but I dunno about west coast :bluu: but hey if I see you in G1 we can give it a shot!

In the beginning, he was using c. fierce as his AA. He used s. strong like once or twice, maybe.

My advice: You lacked endurance. In the beginning, you were putting a good amount of pressure on him and not letting him hit so many buttons or even so many attacks on you (normals AND special moves). After those first couple rounds, you started to be more on the defense than the offense, in which I think you were better off being a little more offensive. In the middle of the video, you hit-confirmed super off of TAP, good fucking shit. Your hit-confirm is good, but it can be a lot better. Instead of doing just one c. jab sporadically, yet moderately, do TWO. Two will help you hit-confirm better AND help you land more combos. As I said above, you were lacking endurance, which is the main reason why you lost. Against Sakura, you don’t want to let her get a lot of moves off on you, INCLUDING NORMALS. You want to keep that constant pressure on her. Her main game is to hit you as much as she can, because her combos stun VERY easily. Two combos = free stun = Another free combo = THREE COMBOS. It’s like a fucking BOGO (“Buy One, Get One,” in case you don’t know the acronym) with her. Buy two combos, get a third free.

All in all, work on your execution, your hit-confirm, your defense, and more practice against Sakura. KEEP THAT PRESSURE AND ENDURANCE UP!

just to add to Asian daisy, i think you coulda persued your opponent more on knockdowns. like i’d see you throw sakura and just sit there. sakuras wake up game is pretty week from what i can tell aside from maybe ex shoryu which is hell unsafe. there should be no reason why you aren’t doing stuff like safe jump hk to throw/throw bait/overhead mix ups, empty jump jab,jab ambiguous cross up bullshit or just meaty c.mk>c.lk>headbutt if it hits.

on another note ultra turtle giefs have been giving me hella trouble lately. lost $100 cause of it :sad:. if anyone got any advice on what i could have done to get some damage in or gain control let me know.

Random rambling

I think you really need to work on your defense, especially when you’ve been knocked down. I can’t remember seeing a throw tech in the whole video. Oh and you got hit by a lot of dumb shit…random ex dp’s, square jump roundhouse seemed to hit you every time, blah blah.

Your Rog basics are very good and you had good pressure going in the first match. Keep on improving your pressure game.

I honestly thought the Sakura was really average and would put my money on you if your defense was better.

For the ryu video:

man you gotta change that dizzy combo imo. This is the one i use:

its the hard trial #5 but instead of c.lk its standing lp:

j.RH s.RH s.LP ex-upper c.LPx2 headbutt or continue with an ex loop. If you dont have meter do dash straight instead of upper.

and for even more options you can mix it up with an overhead in there for a combo reset.

Alot of people have problems with the c.lk to ex-upper so s.lp is an easy substitute.

Actually, I used to use that combo all the time as I have it in my Boxer Combo Compilation video here:

However, my FA/SA game is really weak (especially the dash) so I’ve been practicing it by doing FA->BnB any chance I get…even though it’s damage scaling sucks and doesn’t lead into more options.

Still, you’re 100% right about there being better options out there. I’m also trying to practice reducing the cr.lpX2, short, HB into just one cr.lp for better scaling but you have to be dead on with the charge timing :looney:
