How is having those two extra buttons an ‘advantage’(LP+HP and LK+HK)?
Personally I find the DC controller far superior at playing marvel, but this may be simply because I have used it longer.

Yes, I am in Norfolk, VA. Are you near? If so, let’s meet up this week and I’ll bring my DC. Ironically, my roommate bought the MvC2 cabinet that used to be in Greenbrier Mall and it sits at the head of his bed pretty much lmao. Hmm, I know PAGG in Newport News has an ok MvC2 cab.

Hmmmmmm
Tech Romancer, I pretty much suck at trying to press LP+HP at the same time.lol. I can still link hyper combos, just not as much on the DC controller. Judge_RL, I’ll let you know when, right now I’m back in school and I work alot so I won’t have alot of spare time on my hands.
np bob. just send me a pm whenever and i’ll head out or set up a host for like saturday
Okay, so today I went to the movies today and on my way out I saw a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cabinet. I went over to play it and noticed that I was performing pretty ok on an arcade stick. I pulled off the iron-man infinite with ease. I would probably still need practice with the stick though so I’ll be looking forward to my SF4 fightstick next week.
I also noticed that I was able to block better on the stick than with a gamepad. How, I don’t know. Instincts is guess?
I was debating on whether I should buy a dc with MvC2, but I’m not a serious gamer like I used to be. Just casual now. Besides, the techniques I use can be performed on any version of mvc2 anyway.
Only you know the answer.
seeing on how your excited about the sf4 fight stick, i think its safe to assume that you wonna play ps2 marvel on a ps3 =/
which is a big no no
on ps2 marvel is horrible as stated many of times
I’ve been playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on PS3 for the longest time. I have the 80 gig PS3 on a standard TV. No lag here. And I’m pretty much aware that the PS2 version is horrible compared to the dreamcast version. I’ll be just fine with my PS2 version. I don’t game as serious as I used to competitive wise.
You may not notice the lag because Marvel is just so fast (the fastest fighting game out there) but on a higher level the lag makes a huge difference.
PS2 Marvel is terrible but if you’re just playing casuals at a lower skill level for the fun of it and if you don’t notice any lag nor your opponents then it doesn’t matter imo.
lol.
