Learn which moves are good and which moves aren’t. Like Ryu’s cr mp, doesn’t have a lot of range but has awesome priority. And Ryu’s st fierce, long range and decent priority. Stuff like that.
Also learn the range of normals, so you’ll know what moves to throw out and won’t risk whiffing moves.
sagats c.fierce has the biggest priority in the game snd with blanka u should blanka roll when ur opponent jumps, itll knock them out the air, or in combos like c.mk, blanka roll etc.
hmn,… I was thinking about making a cvs2 vid showing off some stuff I learned (basics) does this sound like a good idea? Im not trying to claim to be an expert or anything
Got my first win with K cammy/blanka/sagat today in my school arcade. Yes, my school has a arcade!
The guy I played against was kinda turtling, so I just poked him to death. But after that, I lost badly to rushdowns cuz I suck against it, and I’m not familar with this new team.
Blanka vs rushdown: mash punch buttons every second
Cammy vs rushdown: cannon spike cannon spike! cannon spike! cannon spike cannon spike!
Sagat vs rushdown: cr fierce
Don’t look at your opponent. Well, you should, but you should concentrate on the space between both characters on the screen, and determine mentally if the move you want to throw out will either
a) come out in time and hit/punish whatever the other throws out
b) at least connect and keep the opponent in block stun for pressure/guard crush strings.
Don’t listen to Burghy, he’s gay. Cammy vs rushdown:s.fp/s.hk
Blanka vs rushdown:c.fp, low jump straight up fp. Sagat vs rushdown: jump hk but space it right. If you do the tip of his foot is “unhittable” which is why it beats out so much stuff. If it connects at the right range, link it to s.fp, XXspecial/super.
weird thing happened today
someone tried to cross me up or jump in, I JD, then I got throwed
what happened there? I thought I’d be in advantage if I JD’ed.
There’s no frame advantage with JD… all you get is a slight reduced block stun… if someone like Chun Li, or Nak crosses you up they recover faster than you… you should just try to throw or tech out of their throw…
One guy I played against today
he constantly rolled across me after he knocked me down, my first reaction was “throw” so I tried to throw him, but somehow I got up after he finished the roll. And my fp came out instead of throw, and I got dp’ed.
What should I do against this? he obviously has 2 choices after the roll, either throw me (when I block) or dp ( when I try to throw)
