Long, long ago, I found a Japanese site that had animated GIFs for each 3rd Strike character, in a certain animation. I SAVED the Gill st.Jab one. Later on, I matched it up to Zweifuss’s sprites, and found what I’d long suspected: they were the actual drawings used to create the sprites found within the games.
Now, though, I’ve completely forgotten where I found these… if you could track down the others, I think they should be preserved.

Absolutely. Surprised they’re still online, considering it was from a DC release. Mind must’ve played tricks on me thinking it was 3rd Strike and not 2I, but the sleuth scores another victory.
