Air grabs are a little different. It’s like they just check ‘is the opponent in a aerial state? If yes, commence grab animation’. Afterall, it’s not like there’s blocking while in the air in SF4
Change of Direction doesn’t combo into a throw, it combos into a hit that has a throw animation, and as such, you can block it.
From what we’ve seen of Necalli, I think he’ll just have a command grab for some burst damage/set ups, or as a combo starter when used as an EX and I don’t think he’ll have any sort of ‘combo’ into it.
I’m also wondering if his divekick will have different angle(yun, yang)or if it’ll just be the one, like akuma’s. A divekick with multiple angles coupled with a heavy damage command grab sounds like set up galore to me.
I think it’s also worth noting that once he goes into v-trigger in the trailer he uses the stomp move to extend hsi combo, and the EX version hits 2 yet it does look like it can extend the combo even further. Later on though he uses the stomp move again but it send ken into juggle state, so that’s most likely his HK version, seeing as moves in this game are following that trend. He probably won’t be able to cancel into the juggle stomp move from anything below HP, as that’s the move he uses right before it. Speculation for dayysssss
grabs don’t have to be blockable hitgrabs to combo into them.
See tons of games where you can combo into grabs, including SF3. Hell you can combo into grabs in sf4 using a crumple state. Snake Eyez does this usually 2 times per game.
Yea, KOF is a different from Street Fighter in that and other regards. I’m not saying it’s unheard of to combo into grabs, but I’m not expecting it in SF5, mainly cause beyond focus crumples in SF4 there weren’t wasn’t a reliable way to do that. You could tick throw into it but it’s still technically not a combo.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that but uh… you guys wanna give reasonings for those statements?
I think it is unlikely because contrary to KOF games there is not throw immunity after being hit on guard.
Here you could do a light, then your throw, if it hits, it’s combo, if not, tick throw.
