Now that I’ve had the interview, I wish I had done my interview in Atlanta. The DC interview panel members were kind of assholes. Except the old Japanese dude professor. I can tell he liked me and would recommend me for the JET program.
It could have gone somewhat better, but it also could have gone a lot worse, I think. They knew that I lacked teaching experience, but I think that I showed them that I was willing to improve and learn in areas I lack in, and hopefully I drove the right points home in the interview.
Noted. PM your phone number so I can pick you up tomorrow. Right now I’m still planning on leaving work early and need to give you a time.
Yeah, sorry I forgot you work on Friday. I’ll be able to pick you up on the way back from Raleigh. You only leave 2 minutes away from the Play-n-Trade away.
In my case, it’s not that I don’t like the game… it’s just that I don’t feel a compulsion to get real good real quick in order to “keep up”.
Still glad I have it and a couple of working sticks, though. So when people come by, it’s available.
I still see potential with She-Hulk, although I haven’t spent a lot of time with the game (just 3 evenings so far). She’s not quite my style, but that’s fine. I’m actually just glad to see some new character designs, even if they aren’t necessarily people I would have chosen.
After hearing all the rave reviews of the guide both at Lucky’s and on SRK, I went ahead and copped it. Ordinarily I’m anti-guide too, but the argument I’ve heard from some about how much time it saves does have merit. Especially if I’m not going to be trying to live and breathe the game to stay super-competitive.
Ono is paid to troll and he is damn good at it. People don’t seem to catch on very well.
Here’s what I think is going to happen with AE.
It gets ported to console in the form of a patch during the summer after those two secret characters which no one has any knowledge of (), get announced.
Then the balance changes will be put in a free patch and the characters will be an additional charge.
Semi-fighting game related. Real Life just owned me up 9-1 on the match-up charts as of today. As of today, I just found out that I have 3 months in my enlistment before I have to GTFO of Seymour Johnson. Basically what they’re doing is cutting down our enlisted (myself) and officer core and giving us until May 31st of this year before we decide to either:
Separate with a Honorable Discharge as if we completed our term.
or
Go into the Reserves if we choose.
This rollback program mainly affects people who aren’t eligible to re-enlist and years in service is also taken into consideration. Seeing as how I’m ineligible to re-enlist (as if I really wanted) and I only had 2 years 10 months since this program kicked off (if I had 3 I’d be set) they’re accelerating my Date of Separation date to the end of May. How does this relate to fighting games? Well this basically turns my Final Round plans into shit since I now have to focus on my separation and moving process. If you had plans on staying in my room I’m sorry, but you’re going to have to room with someone else.
What on earth makes you think they’re going to attempt to get MONEY for DLC they just have sitting around? Plz, a developer trying to make a few bucks, who do you think we are, lmao.
It utterly astounds me that we still have people who take Ono seriously in any shape or fashion.
Then again, people still are playing his games, so I dunno…
IMPORTANT: either have my/someone local’s phone number or check the boards after 3 to see what room number we’ll have today. The farther away you’re traveling from, the more difficult this could potentially be, so be sure you’re in contact with someone who knows what’s going on. My # is 919-880-9976 and I should for sure know the room by 3:30. Nobody’s going to be standing at the front desk directing traffic or anything  I’ll probably have Blake or someone post up some details once I’m there. See everybody soon.
Yikes. My brother had just explained the rollback program to me a few days ago. Damn, Brandino. My own room situation may be in trouble depending on how work goes, but hopefully not. The co-worker that was covering for me while I was on vacation this past week was out with a fever while I was gone, so I’ll have a lot of work to catch up…including the stuff I was behind on when I left, because yet another person was going to help me with that but since the other lady was out, she had to cover the sick person’s responsibilities. It’s a mess, but I think it could work out if I grind hard enough.
given Brandino’s situation and the rooms at FR. I might just not go. Money is going to get extremely tight for me seeing how I have to get a plane ticket for China. But yeah, that’s some fucked up shit man.
When I heard that we were getting a honorable discharge that made me sleep easier. I was already planning on getting a early separation a year from now anyway. All this does is speed up the process a bit. D:
Funny how it turns out that I have to be gone after AZ this year.
