My supervisors should already know the schedule for the tournies. That being said, it’s probably going to be a last minute deal. You should already know I’m always down for CVS2 (past performances permitting). I’ll keep you posted.

Yo, Soul Calibur 3 is official, I got about 15 pre-regs from this area. So hopefully the actual turnout should be at least that, if it gets over 20 entries, that’ll be great. Also on a side note:

4pm would be the best. I need to be back in Raleigh by 7:30pm, so I’d like to have VF5 rap up around 5:30pm, if at all possible.
I can answer that very easily. Ppl who are not hardcore and dont visit sites like TZ (or who do, and dont go to the forums much) simply dont know about the “major” tournaments because they are not advertised locally in places like blockbuster etc… and let’s say that it were advertised and the entry fee is $10… most average scrubby players would not pay $10 to get decimated by out of town pros period…hell I know ppl who post on forums like srk and tz that still wont pay an entry fee to get stomped by an out of towner who they’ve heard of.
Tekken, as well as other fighting games, will only be played super competitively by highly competitive people who are focused on that genre or game. There are a ton of competitive gamers, but 90% of them are madden or FPS players, not fighting game players. So as fighting game players we only get to pool from 10% of the potential talented, spirited gamers out there…and of those 10%, prolly half won’t ever hear of SRK or TZ and prolly will never even know that tournaments exist. I know I played Tekken semi-serious for a good year or so b4 someone at an arcade had to tell me to visit TZ or else I woulda never known about the shit.
