What exactly is Jay Leno’s redeeming quality…?
Just a pompous prick with no real talent to speak of. Why exactly are people so obsessed with him?
This is a stupid and rhetorical question really. I’m sure many people would say the exact same thing about Conan O’brien or anyone famous for that matter. On another note I’ve been Youtubing some old Conan footage and I completely forgot about “Max on Max”. I don’t know how something so creepy and stupid could be so hilarious. I find it amazing that Max doesn’t give a shit about his image at all and Conan’s allowed to say whatever he wants about him as a sexual deviant or all around sociopath.
Don’t think anyone’s obsessed with him. No one has shown signs of being obsessed with Jay Leno. I’m pretty sure his redeeming quality is that he tells funny jokes. Maybe not funny to you but funny to others.
Lies, Leno is not funny at all, Jimmy Fallon is better than that chin.
I think the best Conan stuff was when he went out to the streets and took a camera crew with him; pretty quick and witty stuff mostly on the fly. WAY better than any other out-of-studio segments.
Except no one cares about Jimmy Fallon.

Whoever hired and or made the suggestion to get Jimmy Falon on the Late Show should be fired.
Yeah, like or hate or defend who you want, but this whole loopy fiasco was an opportunity for the late night circuit to show off their best material. Even people like Kimmel, who I haven’t paid attention to since The Man Show, was worth watching these past couple weeks. But Jimmy’s best material would stink up a kimchee farm. And Carson’s best material is (literally) competing with TV test patterns and that ‘buuuuuuuuuuuuu’ sound.
I dunno, I kind of enjoy his show if I end up watching longer than Conan is on. He usually has good guests and does video game stuff fairly often. like when they Demo’d Project Natal. It’s not awesome, but somewhat interesting if I’m in the mood for it.

I’ll give Fallon two more years. If nothing picks up THEN, then yeah, time to go. Overall, I do like Jimmy as a person.

Cynicism is much closer to reality. Just because he caught the luck train doesn’t mean everyone who works hard and is a good person will. Were that the case, there would be a lot more successful happy people.
